I have a dataGrid control, can I split a specific row into many rows ?

Yes why not. Just place controls into datagrid and eval the split value using
ItemDataBound event.

Use DataBinder.Eval("YourColumn").Split(" ")

Is this what you want?

I think using Repeater will be better in this case. Wink | ;)

Where did you put?
I think you need to put it under DataBound Event handler. Might be by this way :

private void GridView_RowDataBound(Object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e)

    if(e.Row.RowType == DataControlRowType.DataRow)
    {
      
      e.Row.Cells(1).Text = "" + DataBinder.Eval(e.Row.DataItem, "colname").ToString().Split(" ") + "";

    }

}

The split logic should be placed according to what you require.
Also adjust the code according to what you need. Wink | ;)

Hi
i want to move 1 list box item to another list box.
i am using this code

this is adding value to another list box , but after few seconds all the value removing automatically.
i am using content page.there no post back also happening.
plz any one tell how to solve the problem or give new idea.

I guess it is due to the page refreshment. Is it clearing automatically or after some operation performed ?

Is it clearing automatically,but i given break point in page load there cursor is not coming.

Hey, first of all.. If you are using only the code defined in the article, there is no possibility to get a page postback after a certain while.

It is purely a javascript solution. How does it refresh the page automatically if you dont do this manually.
If you want to hold data during postback, update a list in the server as well, might be in the session. Call your page using AJAX, may be using a handler / ICallBackEventHandler etc to do this.

Another thing, in the javascript, dont use document.all as it is deprecated. Rather use document.getElementById always.

I would have created an option using document.createElement('option') rather.

I select the Records from SqlServer 2005 into GridView.Then This selected Record
I am convert or passed into Tally Software.So Give Me Idea obout this how we Transfer Data
from Sqlserver Data into Tally Software.

I'm trying to develop my own social app that prompts the user to enter profile information (i.e. - gender, height, weight, etc.), by building on the CreateUserWizard. I figured out how to add a step that prompts for that information, but I'm not sure how to get at the subsequent database, to add the additional fields (i.e. - gender, height, weight). Is there a way to access this database, are the new fields automatically added to the database or do I have to build a new one to house the information from the additional step(s)?
