Well, I hope you are aware about the automated test tools like NUnit.

Before VS2008, to execute a test, you need to write it and use the assembly with tools like NUnit. These tools uses reflection to read the test methods from the assembly and execute it. Since Vs2008, MS provided a test framework inside visual studio so that you don't have to use other applications like NUnit.

But in reality, VS test framework is used very rarely. Most of the people (including me) still uses NUnit or a better alternative.

Hi,

I am working on ASP.NET C# application.
Everything is working fine on the local machine but on the server my application's session timeout after two minutes.
I haven't set the session timeout in web.config. Please tell me the reason of this. Also tell me what is the unit of session timeout minute, second or millisecond.

Session will end when ASP.NET worker process recycles. You need to make sure your code is not doing something like updating web.config at the run-time that will recycle the worker process.

Try setting the timeout in the Web.config. If you don't set it, I think it could still not be the default value if the Machine.config has a different value for it.

Also, any page can reset the time-out.

Yes, you're right. That's the root config applies if nothing is configured at lower level. Define your session timeout and it will work as charm.

i need to set border style as solid and border color for particular cells.
am using the following code, which is not working....

Hi all,

I am using one function to send mail.I have written 4 different functions in a single page(Mailreceiver.aspx),and call according to the hosting server.I am using these mail facilities successfully in my other sites.But I run this in one project I got the error that

'Server Error in '/' Application'

Description: An error occurred during the compilation of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific error details and modify your source code appropriately.

Compiler Error Message: ASPNET: Make sure that the class defined in this code file matches the 'inherits' attribute, and that it extends the correct base class (e.g. Page or UserControl).

and show the error in the line with a red color

As the error says, you need to look into the inherits attribute in the ASPX page.

I saw it but i didn't understand the problem.

Go to Mailreceiver.aspx.vb and see from which class it inherits.

Hi All,

Can any one help me to know how can we connect windows application with asp .net. Or in other words is there any way where we can make use of windows application form (vc#) in asp .net web application. Like suppose if there is a button in asp page , once i click on it, the form should get open. It can be any form. If we can create a form also will be good.

AFAIK..!
Windows Application is different from forms appliction.You cant use like tht.Use popup or javascript to use a window..! Thumbs Up | :thumbsup:

You can't. All you can do is to provide a download link which will download the windows application. If you are looking for creating rich-client applications that can work inside a browser, I'd suggest to take a look at Silverlight[^].
