i have a grid view , let me say it has three rows,three columns,
they are
column1-roll no
column2-name
column3-marks.

row1 values are "1,ganesh,65"

now all i need is ,
when a button is clicked ,how to transfer this "ganesh,65" to prompt box

In GridView SelectedIndexChange event, use GridViewRow Class ro store the value for particular row and then you can use them where ever you want !

i am generating receipt no.let us take 1 to 100 numbers,

if i do any entry between 1 to 100 numbers then it show a mssage that this numbers alaready generated?

so plz help me soon??

Please help you with what? If you're asking for SQL query then you're in the wrong forum. Otherwise you need to be a little more clear as to what you are looking for and what the problem is. And don't ask for someone to write code for you.

Where do you want to generate this message ? You want some output from SQL Server SP or what ? Confused | :confused:

I hope you want to say 5 session variables.
You can use this:
Session.Remove(session_name)

No. You can't use Session.Abondon() to remove a single session for particular user. This destroys all the objects stored in a Session object and releases their resources. So once you called Session.Abondon() all objects set to null for the current session.

You can create an Web Service for Intermediate Interface. Call Web Service from your Device S/W, which will Update your information may be on DB or other storage location. You web service can easily read those data on regular time interval .

hiiiiiiiii,
i was doing a registration page where i need to validate the text box to carry more than 5 characters........
i used custom validation n declared a function in source as this

function validateLength ( src, arg )
{
arg.IsValid =( args.Value.length >= 8);
}

and made the clientvalidation function as "validationlength" ........
but its not working ..............

anybody have the answer plz help me in this code..........

i don't know particularly i got it frm a website where that described its work as:
"The method checks whether the user's entry is at least 5 characters long, and sets the IsValid property accordingly."

so if u know any other method plz specify.....
