i am very new to asp.net. It may be the simplest problem to u. but for me it is a bit difficult. I have written a code for inserting the values in the SQLEXPRESS in C#.but not able to insert it. Can Any one help me out. the code is as follows:

Even though this is madness, i think it's going to work when you close the bracket here:
<br />
insertSQL += "workplace, job, skills";<br />
insertSQL+=") ";<br />

and get rid of the comma here:
<br />
insertSQL += TextBox20.Text;<br />
What I really want to say is, before bothering other people, DEBUG your project.
Oh, and once you've done it, and your project inserts your data, read up on sql injection.
And parameterized queries.
And how to store your connection string in web.config.

For crying out loud man, your t-sql is totally out of whack.
There might not be any syntax error in your C# project, all it sees is building a string for the most part.
What is the exception caught?
Did you debug it?
I bet the farm though, your insert statement has been built incorrectly, because one can plainly see that looking at it. As i said, close the damn bracket and get rid of the comma, would you?
Oh yeah, sorry.
I hadnt noticed you're not even CATCHING the exception.

And at the end of his insertSQL+= crap, see that there's an unnecessary comma being sent along with the rest of the T-SQL.

It may be a sytex error
1) Ensure ur column names r right
2) compare front end values with database datatype.

Hi
Is there any way to navigate between two independent projects through TreeNode control.
I want to use TreeNode control in one project and setting its property TreeNode.NavigateUrl which causes to navigate to other project's Default Page.
I do also want to come back to triggering project by link button event of second project.
Any help will prove a great benefit to me

Hi all
i need to refresh the whole page when pressing a button inside an iframe.
i have a page View inside View.aspx i have an iframe named folder when i press save inside folder i return an id. I need to refresh the whole page (View.aspx) and pass querystring id to Iframe Folder.

how about window.parent.document.form[0].submit ??
You need to find the form from window.parent which represents the original page where Iframe is in.

Thanks for ur answer, however this is the issue. I am not being able to find the parent window in any way, there is no parent at all. i tried to use parent.location.reload(True) but gives an error parent is nothing.

If you have Windows Authentication enabled and also Data Source is same for each computer, it will work.
But most of the people uses Named Instance rather than going for Default one. So its hard to have this.
Why dont you allow users to configure Web.config ??

I dont Know Abt Tht..! I think You Are in trouble when using using Crystal Reports..!
But I tried in different way for this. It may Help or Not But try..!
Open It in Visual Studio ->Open any Crystal Report-->
On the top
CrystalReport-->Go to Field Explorer
-->Verify Database I think

Hi!
Is there a way to access a control in my MasterPage from my custom user control.
I have MasterPage with custom control --> Default.aspx --> User Control
And my last User Control needs to access the custom control in my master.
Or do i have to work with delegate in my default.aspx

Set breakpoint over here. Run you appliction, Copy the str value. Put it into SQL Server Query window and check what error it is throwing. This is the way you can identify your own problem !!
As per your code goes, Please be aware of SQL Injection !!!
