Hi
we are using CPictureHolder in order to display image through data. This data nothing but CString.
we are doing the dcode(converting into byte) and creating the byte into CMemfile object.
The problem is few image data not displaying the image.
i am using below code.
hr = ::OleLoadPicture(lpStream,
maxLen,
FALSE,
IID_IPicture,
(LPVOID*)&m_pPict);
hr return as E_FAIL for some image data.
please let me know what could be reason.

From documentation:
This function returns S_OK on success. Other possible values include the following.

So what's the actual return value you got?

Returning as E_FAIL. but same image datai have used in C# using xmlreader it works fine.

Hello everyone,
I am using std::map<cstring, cmystruct=""> in my application. I am searching for CMyStruct based on the CString using find function. But sometimes find function is returning null iterator even when there is strcture obj with specified key.
Can anyone help me in finding the solution?

Hi,
here is how I used
std::map<cstring, cmystruct="">mapVar;
void Myfun1()
{
...
CString strTemp = "str1";
mapVar[strTemp] = myStructObj1;
}
void MyFun2()
{
map<CString, CMyStruct>::const_iterator itr;
Cstring strTemp = "str1";
itr = mapVar.find(strTemp);
....
}
Sometimes it is working fine but sometimes it is not working.

Umm, that's odd.
If the key doesn't exist in the sequence std::map::find() returns end() and not NULL.
Have you verified that you haven't added a NULL pointer for the key you're looking for? If the answer to this question is 'no', don't bother answering the following. 
How have you declared your map? Post some code (preferrably properly formatted using <pre></pre> tags)
How do you add elements to the sequence? (Code again)

Well what i want to do is restore original page protection flags, searching on google i readed that virtualquery and virtualqueryeax are used to do this but no detailed info or example could anyone point me somewhere or post a sample with some random address will really apriciate it thnx

Hello everybody,
I'm working on a small personal project and I need to create some simple sheet music. Basically, I generate some tones and I would like to save the results on my computer in some format, preferably in .jpg or .pdf.
The programming language is C++...I googled a while, but didn't find anything, so I ask you guys: do you know something that can help me? =)

Do you want build a GUI for drawing musical symbols (and then save the image on file)? Is it a quite complex project: good luck!

I've got something else in mind, just want the computer to generate a few notes, which would be saved on the disk as a regular music sheet. It's for personal use =)

There seems to be an misunderstanding. I do not want a virtual piano, which would record my playings, but rather a class or so that can convert some numbers into musical notes. =)

Have you tried RTMidi or JDKMidi libraries? These help you generate MIDI files from midi instructions.
On the otherhand, if you would like to program directly at the Music Note level, you can certainly find the CFugue to be your best option. You can find good examples of it here: http://gpalem.web.officelive.com/CFugue.html Currently you can save your output as MIDI. Saving to sheet music is still under development, though.
