Questionasp.menu not immediately reflecting DB changes. (C#) Pin

Hi,

I have a few questions about caching and how to immediately reflect database changes in the asp.menu control. Currently I'm using a custom sitemapprovider and binding my menu to the sitemapdatasource. When I make a change to one of the menu items whether it be to the menu items title or sortorder it doesn't get reflected in the menu control immediately. Moreover, I have no idea when it will be reflected as I have lost patience in waiting!

So my questions are:
1) How long does it take to get reflected in the menu control?
2) How do I make the menu control refresh immediately?

thanks,
Tim
