Greetings all,

I am facing a problem in my project.
I created a button that should color the whole row to a red when cloumn " called status" is equal to "open".
As an example:
when column "status" of that row is "OPEN" then the whole row will be red.
When column "status" of that row is "STOP" then the whhole row will be green.

and etc depending on the condition.

that will be checked in the whole database.

What control are you using ? DataGridView ?

then:

Hello,
I'm trying to add Winsock COM component control to my program (like here ),
but i can't find it any where.

It's supposed to be betwwen:
Microsoft Web Browser and Microsoft Works Imaging Server.

Maybe it is at diffrent place in VS 2008?

Someone known?

Do you have visual Basic 6 runtime installed on your machine?Mswinsck.ocx which is Windows Socket Control is not part of Windows by default.In C# you really needn't to use this component.You have system.net.sockets namespace instread.

Hello!
I am using windows application and I have a datagridview which is i am filling from some datatable and after every 15 second i am fetching data from sql database table and filiing datatable again and then binding that datatable with the same datagridview. for refreshing datagriedview in every 15 second i have used timer control now i want to check if datagridview column call "premium" is less than the value in the newly filled datatable then i want to change that column's cell value to blue b'coz current value is greater than the previous value.
can anyone give me the solution for this....plz send me sample code

this is a sample for changing color of all cells in a row :

but how can i chack if that cell value is less than datatable column value... ie
if((convert.todouble(gv.rows[0].cells["Premium"].value)<(dt.Rows[0]["premium"]))

.......because when i bind datagridview with datatable then both shows the same value so how can i check the condition and where should i do this..
plz give me some sample code...

What do you want to compare ?
If you bind datatable to datagridview, it is the same. What you see in datagridview is the same with what you have in datatable.
Values in datagridview change automatically if you change something in datatable.

i want to compare the previous datagridview cell value with the current datatable value if previous datagridvalue is less than datatable current value then change the color of that cell value or only cell.

i.e.
if previous datagridview value is 5 and current datatable value is 10 then
change the color

yes, then save the new values in a new datatable. don't overwrite the datatable in datagridview. then compare both datatable.

OK This is one you either know what it is or you dont. Im drawing some text to a c# listview. When the mouse first moves over the listview the text flickers. Actually if you hold the mouse it looks like the text is actually being drawn over with the background. This isnt the case there is no way through the drawing code that draws the background without the text and like I said this only occurs the first time you mouse over a new item added to the list. Any mouse moves over a specific item after the first draw fine.

I know for a fact its not wm_erasebackground ( trapped that ) nothing.
Its not a double buffering issue either like I said subsequent mouse moves are fine.

Refreshing and invalidating in strategic places have no effect.

Im currently out of suspects so looking for some new suspects to test out.

Thanks and nice try but you've misunderstood the problem. Inserting items and the drawing in general are fine until you move the mouse over an item for the first time. As I said originally its not a double buffer or wm_erasebackground problem which are the normal culprits if it was either of those the problem would be continuous.

Neither is it a MouseEnter or MouseHover problem as I've trapped these and still no joy.

Basically the first time the mouse goes over a listview item the item text is removed and it takes my code a moment to redraw the image, which is why it flickers.

What version are you codding your app?
Does that happen to other version if you change?
Are you using custom cursors? Some cursors image doesn't have alpha-transparent image

Not sure exactly when installed on a clean machine it requires 2.5 to run but I'm not exactly a dedicated follower of fashion these days.

Not really seen it myself before. I've been trying to make it worse by excessive calls to make it draw but it doesnt have any effect, no flickers nothing. Then I move the mouse over an item and instant flicker. It's definetly the mouse move causing it and I was wondering if it was because the mouse moves where swamping the message queue but again if it was doing that the flicker wouldnt clear up because once an individual listitem has flickered you can wave the mouse over it as much as you want and it wont flicker at all.

"Because of a bug in the underlying Win32 control, the DrawItem event occurs without accompanying DrawSubItem events once per row in the details view when the mouse pointer moves over the row, causing anything painted in a DrawSubItem event handler to be painted over by a custom background drawn in a DrawItem event handler. See the example in the OwnerDraw reference topic for a workaround that invalidates each row when the extra event occurs. An alternative workaround is to put all your custom drawing code in a DrawSubItem event handler and paint the background for the entire item (including subitems) only when the DrawListViewSubItemEventArgs..::.ColumnIndex value is 0. "
