You don't. JavaScript is run on the client, C# code is run on the server. I think you should reread a couple chapters in the book or ask the professor or TA for help, your missing some concepts.

Honstly, I don't know anything about javascript, only heard about it.

But you don't have any suggestions for me? Actually I don't know where to insert the code you have given me?

Do you know a professor or TA that I can ask? Also, Do you have a good book that I can work with it easily?

Hi,
I just trying to get a result from a http get request to another domain webpage. Here is my javascript funtion for the request:

function pegaCEP() {
    wRequest.set_url('http://cep.republicavirtual.com.br/web_cep.php?cep=13026075');
    wRequest.set_httpVerb("GET");
    wRequest.add_completed(completed);
    wRequest.invoke();
}

If I use set_url for a webpage in the same site, it works fine, otherwise it cames blank (not denied, just empty, no error). I was looking around and saw something about proxy... Do I need proxy here? If so, can you tell how to do it? If not, is there any web.config solution or something?

Have you checked wRequest.status? If it is 200 then it is OK. Else, you got error.

Thanks, guys for your attention but I decided to create a webservice, download the webpage in the webservice and call it with Ajax. It worked fine.

I'm developing an acsx which has an Accordion control inside a CollapsePanel. If the control loads with the CollapsePanel collapsed, when I expand or collapse panes in the Accordion control the panel which comprises the CollapsePanel's body resizes accordingly with the Accordion pane. If the control loads with the CollapsePanel expanded, the CollapsePanel's body does not resize with resizing on the AccodionPanes. However, if I collapse and expand the CollapsePanel then it starts working as expected. I have tried expanding the CollapsePanel by default by setting the Property on the CollapsePane in design mode and throught code in page_load (setting Collapse=true and ClientState="true"). Either way the behavior is the same. I am using .NET 2.0 with VS2005. I am using toolkit version 1.0.20229.20821.

As per I know, FileUpload control file path cant be modified from the server. The user will have to click browse button to select a file. You can upload the file and then change the filename in the server.

most of the HTML control shows tooltip for Title I think. Place your tooltip text in the Title attribute of the html controls.

Hi,

I am having a web application, which can be accessed by different users based on their userid's and passwords.

Now I want to prevent user 1 from accessing the application from more than one system.

In order to prevent this I have created a table with three columns as :

userid password flag

with flag having two values (true, false)

true means that user is logged in

false means looged off

session id generated by the server when the session is created

SESSION.SESSIONID gets the id generated on the IIS.

now how can I delete it?

so that there can be only one user per user id.

am I right in achieving the goal?

I don't want to use Asp.net MembershipProvider.

I don't think I understand what you are trying to accomplish. Are you looking to limit the IP addresses that can access the application? Are you trying to ensure that if a person is logged in through one browser that they can't be logged in from a second?

Why you want to delete it ? How does it relates with signle user singing? Session ID is unique for each and every user.
On Logoff you make sure that, data base field is reseting properly. and what about if user Close the Browser by Clicking [X] button ? You need to handel this situation also.

You can try this way,

it is possible when the window is closed or at the time of session time out, but it is not possible in case of network failuer

I think Yesu's point is correct , can we handle this scenario as well, it does exists in gmail though.

whenever two or more users with same email id's log in, in different machines , one of them can log out all other machines.
