It depends on the device driver you are using for the USB scanner. In most cases it will either set up an USB-to-serial COM port or a direct keyboard emulation. Try to check that on the scanner's documentation.

But i dont have manual. i want to know that if MSComm is for serial port then what is the control which can be use with USB port

Without the manual, you're pretty much screwed. Yes, MSComm can be used for serial communication. But, does the scanner expose itself as a virtaul COM port?? Probably not. It's probably going to be a keyboard "wedge". In which case, MSComm won't do you any good. You absolutely NEED the manual. Contact the manufacturer or go to their website and see if you can download a copy.

Go to your setup project and Right click -->View--> FileSystem-->And in your application Directory right click and -->Add-->File and go and locate MSChrt20.OCX and after that you can compile.

Ya I added. Now few systems are execute my package properly but some of systems it is not working. Previous error coming.

Make sure that in the Systems that are not working , go to Solution explorer and make sure that the problem project have reference of that ocx file.

This means that the OCX requires other file(s) to operate that are not included in your deployment. Some of the old MS OCX file assume you have the entire office suit installed on every client and therefore do not encapsulate all their functionality inside themselves.
There used to be a tool called dependency walker[^] that was useful in identifying additional resources for deployment. I have not needed this in years so I have no opinion on its relevance.

Your project requires the MSCHART.ocx and MSCHRT20.ocx because you uses these conponent in your project.
And at the time of setup building these files are not found.
If you can think then I Can.

I was added Mschart.ocx and MSchrt20.ocx.
and I tried Mschart.dll and MSchrt20.dll (using converter).
But still error is coming.

i don't know whether this can be done using visual basic 2005 express edition...liking to microsof Access as the database...
i want to add the item brought by customer in to my data grid view,one item per one item..the at the end,add up the total price for those items brought by the customer..
my problem is i don't know how to add stuff into that data grid view n how to calculate it...

If you have the grid bound to a datasource, it's just a matter of going through the rows in the table that you boud the grid to and adding up those values.
