Hi,

is there away to jump to the location of a control thru code

for example :

private System.Windows.Forms.Label label13;
// in the designer click on the "label13" and see it in the {Design]

Yes, possibly, maybe.

It really depends on what you mean by 'jump to the location'. Do you mean make the mouse pointer move to that location? Or do you mean something else?

i've inserted a new label now i've changed the text to a ""
the silly thing that i've forgat where it is and the label is "invisable to me"

in another env i'm working called CVI i can right click in code on the name of the control
and click go to control, and the designer opens and shows me the control

is there antihng similar in vs 2005

Oh yes!!

1) ensure the form with the control you want is selected in design view.
2) In the properties window (if you don't have it up use View | Properties Window menu) there is a combo box at the top, drop it down.
3) select required control from drop-down.
4) it will be selected in designer, and its properties are displayed.

Of course, a decent naming convention helps here as well. As your control is called label13, you have no idea what it is or what context it has, hence your difficulty in finding it. If your control was called something like labEmailAddress it is obvious what the label is for, and would be much easier to find later on.

yep, but it was an example
my naming is with a prefix like lbl - for labels
txb - for TextBoses

so the naming is lbl"ControlName" Smile | :)

My application enables desktop sharing between a system and a PDA through Wi-Fi.As the screen resolution is different i cannot do mouse movements.wht other features can i include in the project.

If there was a bit more here then maybe, just maybe, you would get a sensible answer.

You cannot 'share' the mouse movement but you should be able to do something about clicks, showing menus and bunnies.

Why? can't you keep track of the mouse position in the coordinates of the other system, and show it scaled to your own resolution?
as in myMouseX=hisMouseX*myXmax/hisXmax;?

i'm trying to insert data to access db, and i did it, but the problem is after first insert when check the db data is there, then close the application and run it again the last inserted data is missing, what might be the problem.

Actually the senerio is not clear, Probably you using a datatable with a disconnect recordset, Try to directly insert.

Ummm... you're adding a DataRow to a DataTable in a DataSet then filling the DataSet with the contents of the database? Doesn't that wipe out the existing data in the DataSet? Confused | :confused:

Other than that; why are you using a DataSet and a DataAdapter? You probably just want to use ExecuteNonQuery to add the data.

Check all the stored procedures/SQL queries that are fired on the DB until you close your application. If the data has been inserted, it can vanish only if some command that does so is run.

Had it been SQL server, Profiler would have helped you out. Don't know if it works with Access or there is something like that for Access DB too.
