Hi I am writting the following code to write into text file.After Checking whether the file exixt or not ,It is giving the following error.Can any one help.
Any solution to this problem would be appreciated.

Error comes when we create text writer.

File.Create returns an open stream to the file created, locking it.

Check if the file is being used by some other process?
Are you writing to a directory which is read only?

You don't need the if statement at all. If the file doesn't exist, the StreamWriter will create it

If you really mean Logic Bomb[^] then no one here is going to help you.
If you just want a standalone exe, then yes you can. If the required .net framework is installed on the target machine and the app has no external dependancies, the exe will run fine. If it's for a machine without the .net framework then take a trip to c++ land.

He was active recently (16th[^]) but in the C++ forum. He's probably finally figured out that he can't really write nasty stuff successfuly using a .NET language. I think C++ will be above his intellectual abilities though so the world will remain safe.

A Logic bomb is a malicious piece of code which you will find no help in creating here.

i want to code a windows service that will start alone,like an alarm clock..if t is malicious and is called logic bomb ..sorry i didn't know it...

It is possible to write windows services in .net.
It does not run itself though, you have to set up windows to startup the service for you and it is not called a logic bomb.
There is a guide on MSDN here[^] on how to create services.

Plus that is pretty non-standard - Enter works the default key, normally OK. Why not use TAB like almost every other windows app since V2.0?

I agree with first two answers. Does it have to be the Enter key? Using the Tab key with TabIndex to indicate a specific indexing of controls is easier and more standard. Enter will cause a Submit on the form?

Just got MSDN license and got c# hello world working in console mode. Now I want to load sample code but looks like a solution and I get message "one or more projects can not be located..."
file is OpenXML_SDK_HelloWorld_src.sln

Did you install the Microsoft Office PIA (Primary Interop Assemblys?) Are you referencing them in your project correctly? Can we see some code? We cannot guess based off your solution name.

I am mainframe programmer...bought Kernegan and Richie C book in 1980, but did not do the hello world until today...: - )
Done visual basic OO etc and worked with J D Edwards ERP with huge 50,000 line C code pgms, but this is my first .net thing. Once I get this hello world for xxx I will be off to the races. The standard console stuff does not have red wiggly underlines so I know it is recognized with my base install. But the other stuff below looks like it is not on my machine (the Open XML sdk 2.0?)

Are you sure you referenced OpenXml properly? That's the only thing I can think of..
