Figured it out eventually, here it is in case someone else is wondering: the key was to handle the ListView.ItemDataBound event, in such a manner:

Hi,
iam in webapplication using asp.net with c#.
I have to close PopUP Window and pass the session variable to parent form(textbox)..My scenario like..
PopUp window which consists of gridview,with 3 columns.
1-checkbox
2-Name
3.MobileNo..has to select 'N' number of rows...
iam maintaining those selected rows in Session[arraylist]..
when i click close button in PopUp window the Session[arraylist] data should be displayed in parent window [textbox] at the same time PopUP Window should close..
how can i do this ?

Save the information into Session.
Close the pop up window.
Do a postback of the the opener and load the data in server side code from Session.
I didn't get any requirements for the signature

if you are alredy storing data in session, then you need to just refresh parent form to show the data.

hello !
I am using gridview to display records in my web application.
I have defined two template column each having a asp imagebutton for
delete row and update status respectively.
for deleting row i am using grid rowdeleting event which is working fine
but i am unable to get datakey column value on status imagebutton click.
I also defined one bound column and on the basis of this boundcolumn and primary field column value i have to update status.I got stuck to this problem terribly.
Anyone who knows please tell how on imagebutton click that particular row can be access.I want that particular row's primary key field(or datakey value as primary key column is assigned to this) and bound column value
please send me the code or solution ASAP as its urgent.
Any help will be highly appreaciated.

Well...the imagebutton is the sender
ImageButton btn = (ImageButton)sender;
the imagebutton is in the container of the row
GridViewRow row = (GridViewRow)btn.NamingContainer;
(you now can use the row.SelectedValue for your DataKey)
The gridview row is in the container of the gridview
GridView grd = (GridView)row.NamingContainer;
....use this answer quickly! cause it might be urgent!

which of the following two options 'Cross Page Postback' or 'Server transfer' is the most preferred option.
I need to transfer from one page to another page on the click on a button.

Well, there is no prefrerred option. It all depends on your needs.
If you do not need any client interference in between, I would go for Server.Transfer

Hello,
I downloaded .Net Reactor to obfuscate a site web.
Here the steps I did:
- Publishing of the site web from VS.Net 2008 with these options (updatable : unchecked; fixed naming : checked)
- Using of aspne_merge to merge all dll files (one per page) : aspnet_merge c:\..\MySite -o MyApp
- Using of .Net Reactor with "Library Strongest" preset
Once generated and placed in my bin folder, I launch the app:
- There are some codes in the global.asax file that is not executed (in the OnApplicationStart event): I don't know why? It doesn't go here, even after restarted IIS.
- I have the error "Attempt to read or write protected memory"????!!
For information, if I do not obfuscate it, the application works fine.
Is there any options to set?
Do I forgot anything else?

The first question is why are you trying ot obfuscate your ASP.NET code? The code lives and runs on the server, it isn't send to the client. If you're worried about someone hacking in and seeing your source code then you have large security issues that need dealt with.

In fact, my web site will be installed on the customer server.
So they can decompile my code easyly if I don't obfuscate it...
That's the reason why I want to protect it.
Is there any other ways ?
For information, I recheck to obfuscate my webapp and it works fine if I uncheck the "NecroBit Protection".
It is an option to protect more the code...
But I don't know why it doesn't work with this option?

I have a issue about the ModualPopup- and ConfirmButtonextender.
u can define a ConfirmText on a ConfirmButtonextender, so I want to use
this text in a ModulPopup which is connected with the ConfirmButtonextender.
(like: 'are you sure you want to delete article "abc"')
is there any way to do this, searched in the net, but found nothing.

I was just wondering if it is possible that a php website can connect to a webservice created in .net3.5
Reason is that I create a webservice for a client, but the people who are going to be creating the front end/presentation layer is going to do it in php, will they be able to access and use the webservice or will only sites developed in .net be able to access the webservice?

A web service defines a contract for communication. The platform used to process that communication is irrelevant.

Yes, it is possible. Web services use xml for data communication and xml is a device and platform independent medium for data communication. Fundamentally it is possible but practically I cannot show you the code as I don't know PHP.

I want to do the binding of a grid after the page it is contained is loaded and rendered completely. I want to delay its binding because the data source of the grid takes a long while to get populated.
I need the page to be rendered first and then an ajax progress(wait) image is to be made visible until the grid is bound and rendered.
Currently I am achieving this through triggering a hidden button's click() event via javascript that's written at the end of the body. The button's click function binds the grid. Both the button and grid are put inside Ajax update panel so, the waiting image also come's properly. Is there an easy(direct) alternative method rather than the way I am doing?

I am already achieving this functionality. In my page the grid should be bound with out any user action like a button click. I have explained already how I am achieving this. I am not sure whether this is the right way or not. I want to know whether this could be done without a second control to triger the binding

Use JavaScript's Window.SetTimeout() to set an interval to load the grid. Use _doPostBack() to create the postback using JavaScript. Call the method which you would like to use to bind the data. Check out my article:
