I need to determine from within an iframe mouse click "location", by that I mean:
1. nPosition = # characters from start of HTML document (err... preferably start means first character of hTML doc in iframe) to first character of the selected text.
This gives you x/y position, which is not what we need ...

I have aspx page containing dropdown, textbox,divs , panel and buttons
i have set the tabindex property of each control. when page load i set the focus on a drop down by using this function
Private sub Setfocus(Byval Ctrl as control)

Now when i press tab the focus goes on address bar first then comes to second control
What will be the reason??

why dont you use ctrl.focus() property why you want to register startup srcipt.
actually focus goes to address bar only in the case when we start tabindex from zero..
locate in your code if you have set tabindex to zero. try to start it from 1 your problem will be sovled....

I have one issue in my projects.im choosing any one of listitem from dropdown list before press the save button i had click the back button for that (firewox) browser.
after i had click on the front button of that browser,the choosed value was be bind into the dropdown list.please any one talented person consider my issue as well as give the tips and coding for solving my problem.

I'm using radgrid with page size of 5 when i try to set radgrid1.item(6).selected to true,it'll give index out of range exception. Is there any way to select the items beyound page size. Please help me out. .

Actually I want to design menu like..
When we put mouse pointer on that label, list of subcategory is shown.
Just like in this website, put mouse pointer on "Articles" or "Message Boards", without clicking the list is shown.
How to do that??

This has nothing to do with ASP.NET. It is created with JS. Search for DHTML menu and you will get plenty of samples.

You can do this using javascript. In image tag use the property onmouseover="javascript:ShowMenu()"

I have two treeviews in my page. I want to select multiple nodes on the left hand side of the tree view and add the same to the right hand side. Is it possible to do so in a web page?
This is something like a list of items on the lefthand side listbox, then clicks a button called "Add>>", so it will add to the righthand side of listbox.
Any help in this regard? Please help. any links or code page to this direction would be really great.

allow checkboxes for the treeview by setting ShowCheckBoxes property to 'All' the and u can select multiple nodes and on click of add button ,take those checked nodes to right.

What would be the best way to accomplish this with ASP.NET 3.5

I got the header to work as I wanted with this css class.

Hi
every one i'm in projet with the APS.NET MVC frameWork.
I have a sql data with 3 column : id, title , root
The root colum is a varchar and content a PATH directory like this
../content/S1 which S1 carry up to many html file.
My question is:
how could i display those a link for those files?
it is possible to display it in Placeholder.

While some ASP.NET WebForm controls are useable in MVC (because they happen not to use much of the infrastructure that MVC doesn't use) you are not encouraged to use them. You should be using HtmlHelpers to write HTML to the view, not using placeholders.
