There is a column for news in the website that i am working on, in the past i used to use marquee for news or sliding news but now i want to make it alittle cool and attractive when i searched i found out that fading is fair to have in my website that automatically it disappear and after short time it appear
i found out some codes but they were not working properly.
it will be better to include links that when one message fade in it should be link to a page and the same for others.

Hi,
i have an ocx file in webserver and i included it in my html page ..
and when client requests for that html the ocx gets installed with his permission but the issue it"s getting successfully installed on Admin machine..but in non-admin machine even the message box that prompts to install ocx is not displaying.....is there any limitation for non-admin...
pls help me out...

I want to use a script on my website that scores a multiple choice test, and what I have works pretty well. Before I use this script I want to make sure I understand everything it's doing. I understand most of what is happening, but I don't understand this particular loop:

I understand that the first for loop is running through each question, but what is currentElt and why is it equal to the question times the number of answers? What is the second for loop doing with the numberOfChoices variable. The full script is below:

your time calculation will never work since it is declared at the end of the function.
cullentElt is "current Element"
you are navigating to all the controls in your form and cheking one by one if they are checked or nor, if they are they shall be matched with the correct answer.
i would rather suggest you to use event, for change in option, calculate the score at that time itself,
it will make your code hardly 5-10 line.
read about "events" in javascript.

hello,
I am trying to develop a project using smart card.
I am using SCardX_easy activex control in my webpage to extract info from my smart card.
what i recieve in DataBuffer is a string of hex values separated by a white space and without a leading zero.
for example
ReceivedDataBuffer = "5B 50 0A 3E 5C 77 D8" and so on.
now i need to convert this to a meaningful string
say "test"
how do i do that.
this is what i am currently doing:

but instead of the data[i] containing hex i need string.
"0A" is the newline character in hex

I like the article submission system on CodeProject, and I think it would be great for me to develop a similar system for a different purpose.
Being the lazy developer that I am, I was wondering if there's already some "article submission ASP.NET project" templates out there with 90% of the functionality there, allowing me to tweak it rather than build it from scratch. I didn't find any with my searches of open source projects, but if anyone here knows of such a template, I would greatly appreciate it.

I am using an “Ajax hover menu “ with a data list control to display a panel and it is working fine, but there is an alert telling the user that the script is running too fast and it will slow the page can anyone help please.

what do you mean by running too fast? I have seen browser informational dialog that displays notifying the user script is running slow, but not too fast. Running too fast would be very good.

Hello everyone,
My question has to do with CSS.
I have this very simplistic website www.iofreaks.com , and I am trying to apply CSS’s to it. So that way further down the road it will be easier to manage.
Now my first question is this:
Q.) When using CSS’s, do you create more than one CSS for the <head> ,<body> and <table>’s?
The reason I ask this, is because I thought that using CSS’s intention is to enable to you alter large amounts of information from “ONE” or very few documents?
My next question is this:
Q.) When specifying the following:
table.one {table-layout:fixed}
How do you relate to “ table.one ” in your index.html? I know there has to be a way to link them together to apply what you have in the CSS document, but how do you do this? Do you use in index.html to relate to the CSS document? I am very confused on this.
I would appreciate any help. I will also include what I have in my css1.css file at the bottom of this page.

I have an external style sheet I am using in an html page. I'm using vs2008 to do some development in. I have created a body element in my css page. The link for the style sheet is in the header of the html page like it should be but I am not seeing the css effects appearing for my body or p tags, what am I doing wrong?
I noticed that if I define the following in my css page they are not applied to my html page.

The div.wrap gets executed but the body and p elements will not show properly. What am I missing here?

I believe your problem is because you are not refering to your css file. You are linking to it yes, but you are not giving it anything to format.
CSS Works like this I believe, and please correct me if I am wrong. Your CSS file is read in the Head as to be at the begening of the translation process. Once this begins it see's the .css file and looks to it for formating procedures. It is doing just that, yet there is no Content for it to be applied to.
I hope this helps, and of course I may be wrong as I am new to this as well.
