Hi Abhijit.

My problems are strictly server-side.

I want to emulate an existing server side WebServices implementation. I have the existing WSDL file, and I want to create a similar Server-Side WebServices project to test my client-code.

After that, its gravy..

As I understand web-services and the steps you've provided, this is to create a reference on the client side. Am I misunderstanding?

I was able to do what I wanted to do by using a tool called SoapUI. This allows you to create a mock-up WebService using the provided WSDL.

i have 2 table in different database and different server, i want select records from one server(e.x. 100 records) and updatethem in other table in the other server. do any body know how is my query?
i dont want use for and update the records one by one

pass dynamic string to your command object in order to achieve this functionality is it very simple question..

hi i have to page.in first page there is a form view which contain some controles like textbox.this form view has bind to a objedatasource with 3 methodes select , edit ,insert which has written in a class.
also there is a button in this formviwe in insert mode.
with clicking this button I want to open a new browser window(Opera).in this window there are 2 dropdownlist which with selecting one of them item the previous page (contain a formvie)textboxes fill.
these dropdownlist has bind to a sqldatasource and the table(table of database) of this sqldatasource is the same with the table of that objectdatasource in first page.
I use C# and asp.net 2 for this project
any help would be great.

Hi!

I am new to C# and asp.net network programming so I hope someone can point me to the right direction in starting what I want to do.

I want to make a web application that would automatically fill-up application forms from websites and automatically submit them. For instance, I want to automatically log-in in all my web accounts on different web pages through a button click in my c# application. I am new to network programming but my initial research tells me to use the http and web service classes to accomplish this. Technically, i would get and parse the IDs of the form components from the websites and post the values plus invoke the 'click' or 'submit' function. I want your comments on this.

Also, i wonder if there are means of updating some visual parameters in an asp.net page such as texts without calling a postback since it slows the application. If I want the interactivity of a windows form application, do i need to make an activeX control or user control and embed it in my asp.net page? Or should I use client-side scripting?

Any answer will be appreciated. Thank you.

I have a master page. In .aspx page i have set MasterPageFile value to the master page.

In .aspx page i am loading a control(.ascx). While doing this i am getting error
Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory.

I have tried changing paths also(../), but its not working.

Can anyone help me?

Master page is in root directory.
.aspx page is in folder "A" which is in root. In .aspx page i am loading control(.ascx) which is in folder "B", which is again in root. I am using stylesheet which is also created in root.
To load control, i have written following lines: UC=(UserControl)Pa ge.LoadControl("../Try/TestPage.ascx");

Well, there are number of issues here. Do you want to show the server or client time?

Not all countries follow the same daylight saving starting and ending date see here for detail.[^]. Then you need to figure out where the user is located and apply the time difference from UTC and apply Daylight Saving appropriately.

I want to send mails from local host. At first I setup up IIS with SMTP server. After applying the command http://localhost by Run a authentication required window shown. But I don't no what username and password should use to access http://localhost.

This should be the your domain user id and password. If you do not want to receive this, you can change the authentication settings to anonymous.

Yah Sure!
1. Open IIS [ Run > inetmgr ]
2. In Tree Explorer > Web Sites > Default Web Sites
3. Right Click > Directory Security > Edit > Check Enable "Anonymous Access Checkbox".

Note : This will be applicable to all of the Virtual Directory that are hosted inside the "default web sites". If you want to Virtual Directory Specific, rather than doing on Default web site, do the same changes on particular virtual directory.

I have a drop down list box and a menu bar above it. The menu bar produces drop down sub-menus on mouse over. But the Drop down list box is being displyed over the menu option. What can i do to display the sub-menus above drop down list. I am not able to get the z-index property for drop down list....

well... this is the most common problem with IE 6. Dropdown always comes over divs. I think what you can do, is to create an IFrame below the div a floating one, or an IFrame just below the dropdown, and then above the IFrame place the menu.

Iframe comes over selects always. Rose | [Rose]
