Dear buddies,
 Excuse me, please! I have been developing an email application on Windows Mobile 6.1. But there was a problem bugs me so much. I could get all informations of a local email successfully. I use IMessage method GetProps() with tag PR_BODY to get the body as an IStream object, and GetRecipientTable() to get the recipients' address. However, when I tried to get the body and recipients of inbox emails, it failed. It seems that mails are formated as MIME style on WM6.1. But I still don't how to get the MIME file and how to parse it. There are .mpb files contain all the above informations under path of "\\windows\\messaging". Their file names are very familar with an email's oid, which we can get by using CEDB to retrive emails. Then if I know an email's oid, I can get all the informations. But if I use MAPI and therefore I only know an email IMessage pointer, how can I get its oid?

hello,
I have been trying to create a merge replication from the last week and till now no success. Before i had created a merge replication with IIS and Database in same machine. But now the requirement is changed hence i am stuck.
The procedure i followed are as follows
After going through alot of research i found out the link.

and i read all the chapters and seems to be preety much helpful but i am not able to get the snapshot.
Here are my steps
1. i click ConnWiz30.exe
SQL Server Mobile Edition --> create a new Virtual directory --> Alias='Synchronization' --> do not require SSL --> clients will connect anonymously --> share='\\192.168.1.239\repldata' finished
Everything is created successfully.

In MSSQL management studio i get the error

Hi everyone.
I just downloaded EC++ 4.0 and i have been trying hard to make it run on my Windows XP.
First of all it did not open because apparently "No standard SDK was found on the desktop....".
So i downloaded the Standard SDK 5.O and installed it on my pc.
This time Ec++ did open and i was able to open a project.
However when i tried compiling the program another error message was displyed...
" The application targeting a standard SDK for Windows CE.net and built for the SH4 CPU cannot be run on the Emulator device. Inorder to run this application on any CPU other than the Emulator you will have to install an SDK that is compatible with the standard SDK for Windows CE.net, the target a shadow platform pertaining to that SDK.
Please see EVC documentation for more details."

PS: The application i have been trying to compile is a remote control application written in Ec++ for a pocket PC running Windows CE 3.0.

Make sure your build configuration is properly set to the device you are targeting. Is the handheld you are targeting an SH4 CPU?
If you want to just run it in the emulator, change to a standard ARMV4 or x86 target CPU.

If your device is using the Microsoft Bluetooth stack then you can get/set the bluetooth state with BthGetMode[^]/BthSetMode[^].
Fo WiFi see this[^].
Keep in mind that either of these may not work on your device depending on OEM implementation ("Mobile Development, Support Side Story[^]" for more details on why it may not work).

Hi. I have created fileupload control and its working well on web browser. But i want to use the same control when some one access the site from mobile browser. so what should i do? i tried accessing the same site from mobile browser but its not working. i tested on 2 emulators and i got this result. Microsoft Mobile explorer: Not showing the browse at all but the upload button is visible and when i click it does give the validation error that please upload the file. Openwave: its visible and when i click browse it does goes to phone memory for me to select picture or any file but once i click upload button , it crashed. is there any alternate way to do so? i am new to asp.net environment. and need urgent help. thanks

I am a begineer in C#.net
I have created a .sdf database in C# project of Visual Studio 2008. I have used microsoft SQL server compact 3.5 as a data source. I have set the copy to output directory property of that database as copy if newer. I have one table created under that database in VS 2008. When i run the application for the first time the database gets copied in the Query Analyser of Win mobile 5.0 emulator and i could see the table undet it. But when i add more table to the same database in C# project and then run the application once again, i could not see the newly added tables.
Another problem i am facing is that the database in win mobile 5.0 emulator gets corrupted very often. What is the reason? I am losing my data due to this.
I have SQL server management studio installed on my pc. I want to create a SQL server mobile database under it and then add that database to my project. Which data source i have to chose? What are the steps to be followe?
What is the difference in using the database created in Query analyser and the database craeted in SQL server mobile?

hello,
The reason for the database to get corrupted is that if your database is connected from the sql server and if you try to modify it from other location like (query analyzer in WM).
Well about the database not being updated.. i too have not much idea. I faced the same problem..All i did was i made modification for the sql server and then replaced the old one in the mobile....

I Insert a web browser object on window mobile form. and my device also have installed opera web browser. and when i open a html file in form web browser using vb.net it opens the new instance of the opera web browser but i want to open the html file in the form web browser.
How i do this.....

I am developing an application on Win mobile 5.0 emulator. I need SQL server 2005 for database storage and hence i am using SQL server management studio. I want to connect a smart device project in C# to SQL server 2005.
I have done the following steps-
1. In SQL server management studio, i have selected server type as SQL server mobile and have entered a path for database file and then pressed connect. I have created one table under the database
2. I have connected the emulator with the active sink .I have then transfered this database to Win mobile 5.0 emulator and have placed it under Program Files in the emulator.
3. In VS 2008 under data source configuration wizard i have created a new connection.Then add connection window appears. Now i am not sure which data source to select.
What will be the connection string in order to access the database on Win mobile 5.0 emulator?
Please help me with this. I am a novice in application development on Win mobile platform. Please help me with the detail steps to connect the SQL mobile database to C# smart device project. Also let me if i have followed the proper steps.

File > configure > shared folder....... give a link to your any folder
like D:\Mobile Storage and keep your .sdf file in that folder
and connection string for the sdf file should be
Data Source=\storage card\database.sdf;Password=xyz;

I am developing an application in win32 in which I need to compare two JPEG images files of resolution 240x320 got from Windows mobile after compressing from the .bmp images. I have tried reading the r,g,b values from two images and tried to compare them. But when I am reading them I am getting the same r,g,b values for all the any JPEG images though they are dissimilar.

In your if statement that is testing for inequality of the colors the && needs to be changed to ||. Beyond that I can't see why it's not working.

Thanks for the response but I have tried that even which is of no change in output. Th problem here lies in reading the images because I am getting same pixel data in the two buffers taken for the images.

(More then 1 mobile via loop in 1 go)
Is there any class or library in .net is available.
