Where u r storing the pics?It is in the server also??,the red cross is comming because the pics are not there in the specified path.

i have googled alot but failed to understand the desired result, i want to catch the print event of crystal report so that i can make a log file for that crystal report "that report has been printed" etc etc.... in asp.net for my application

on the other way i have tried to place the button for printing the report but i could not do it properly just as i want to open the pageSetup dialog box as we use in MS word,,

When i open VS2008 and test a website or something, and if at the same time i have other pages open in IE, if i close VS, this will cause all the IE windows to be closed, even is a window has several tabs open (is does ask if you want to close a windows with multiple tabs, but no matter your answer, it will close it anyways)

When you run a web App that find existing Web pages, it merges itself to the existing tabs, , when you click stop from the VS it closes all the pages even the one its not supposed to close ?

Hi All

,
I'm trying to develop a application in asp.net,
to send any file from my PC to any bluetooth enabled mobile,
in coverage area of bluetooth dongle(connect with my usb port).
(More then 1 mobile via loop in 1 go)
Is there any class or library in .net is available.
If you can give me some sample code or link of any article...that will be very helpful for me.

It is better to use windows applictaion than web applictaion. if you an web applictaion then you will be able to send files to phones present in near the server and NOT near you..

Accessing Active Directory by impersonated user

I am developing a web application and using windows authentication for login. i have cinfigured in web.config setting <authentication mode="Windows"> </authentication>
<identity impersonate="true"/>
when other users browse my application i will impersoante them with their windows user id and validate them by checking against Active Directory.
But the problem is the impersoanted user is not allowed to access active directory because of no permissions. I want to grant permissions for the impersonated user to access active directory. but it is not throwing a COMException stating "an operation error occured". Please can any one help me out.

Stored procedure is a pre compiled query. So, it is much faster than the direct queries

i need to set the prevoisly selected date colour to be green and the current selection of the date colour to be red i tried as

Hi all,
any one please tell me, any performance differences or any difficulties in a web application, when we set constraints, foriegn key, uneiq key in sql server.

I'm doubt because lot of small organizations when they develop windows application s/w ,they will use these.
But when they create web application they avoid these unieq key, constraints etc.

Can anyone tell me where I might find the assembly for HITINFO? I have created a code snippet as seen below that utilise the HITINFO method to prevent Denial of Service attacks but I keep getting the following error:

"The type or namespace name "HITINFO" could not be found, are you missing an assembly reference?"

Hi all,
I am using iis 5.1 and my application is in two part one is in asp.net net and another one is asp.net + ASP. My first application is woking fine but when i am calling the asp page then getting the server application error 404 . I try to debug the code then getting this exception .
system.platformnotsupported exception and "This operation requires IIS integrated pipeline mode".

Please help me out. its very urgent i am working with this error since one week.

Hi Jitendra,

If you are using Server.TransferRequest this cannot be used on any versions of IIS below version 7. If you are then this is the error you will get.

Please post the code that you are using when you receive the error.

i am using the same code for calling the .aspx page but when i am trying to call those aspx page which having the asp file call those are not working.

How are you calling your asp pages? Asp and asp.net run on different engines. you can not directly interact between them. You can redirect calls from one to another. If you show us how you doing it, it will give us some clue as to what you trying to do.

I have asp + asp.net running side by side. I interact between them, when I move from one to the other, I save my session state to db then call

Request.Redirect("somepage.aspx?someparameter) (I call both somepage.asp and somepage.aspx the same way)

then on the other side I load my session state read what I need to get and continue doing what I need to do.
