With "kid sister friendly words and terminology" there is no reason for economic discussions to come to an end. Unless Maunder reflects on the voting system, including abuse marking of postings, the Lounge could indeed suffer, but then, or so I understand, prior to those 9/11 incidents, the Lounge was the place to talk prior to the launch of the Soapbox forum. Intelligent and insightfulness could re-invade the Lounge but may need some degree of active moderation by CP Admin.
Perhaps Chris Maunder would do himself and CP a great service by updating the Lounge message posting rules to include exceptions in terms of what can and what must not be discussed, but would this kind of "censorship" be acceptable to CP members. However, nice thoughts by Digital Man over in the Lounge but I feel this would be a non-starter.

One of my messages was deleted without a single vote being cast. Someone was either bypassing the site's restrictions on removing messages, or a new type of moderation system was being tested (unlikely)

this[^] question in the VB forum has been marked as a good question and I was wondering if this may be an error of some kind.
1. It does not strike me as a particularly good question, although others might disagree.
2. There are no responses to the question, surely if it is worth a 5, it is worth responding to or do we have a cinquevoter as an antidote to the unavoter?

I for one choose to disagree. I somehow missed it, but to me the question is pretty clear, and there even is an image documenting the table structures. We can only wish others would use it as an example. The only problem I see is it is a database question, so it was asked in the wrong forum...
BTW: my SQL is still beginner's level, so I will not engage in answering, unless by tomorrow no one else has kicked in.

In other reponses in the programming forums I have seen members decrying the use of links as possible paths to malware.
I have occasionally voted for the 'wrong' post due to mouse-slip and wondered if that might be the case here, or even a ploy to increase ranking by friends of the OP.
I just brought it to attention because it seemed odd, somehow to me.

Several people ask C questions in the C# forum, probably because that is the one that resembles what
they look for most, it is after all only one character off.
Could you please change the C++/MFC forum name to "C/C++/MFC" or something like that?

No matter which category you select, the breadcrumb shows Home > All Catalog Items.

In IE7 I can select some text in a post, hit ctrl-v and have that text surrounded by a url (previously copied) in CP format. In FF3 this doesn't do the same, it replaces the selected text with the url with the url as the visible text.
Problem with FF3, or something else?

Hi.
Every time I come to Code Project, I must sign in.
I have cookies enabled (in fact, nothing has changed
here since this started happening a few days ago).
Now, every time I come to the site I must log in,
and I always leave the "remember me" checked, but
it's not happening.
