I am starting a new web service. I will be offering a "certified seal" for members to place on their websites.. very similar to the Trust-Guard.com service.

I want to make the seal so that that images cannot simply be copied and pasted on anyones site. I also want the seal to be "disabled" should a member fail to pay their monthly fee's.

Here is the code Trust-Guard.com uses:

By the looks of things, they're using JavaScript - Probably something along the lines of like: (Pseduo code follows)

if (websiteUrl = "http://secure.trust-guard.com") then
   displayImage("specificPic.jpg")
end if

I'd also suggest you add the site name to the banner, so they cannot simply save it, and edit out the name in MS-Paint or some such.

Hi,

I am developing a c# based system that uses a windows executable as a webservice and am looking for a free isp to upload it to.

(I am running the application at home but my port forwarding is problematic so would like to quickly upload so I can demo externally).

Can anyone suggest a free ISP that allows CGI executables to be uploaded?

The applciation opens a local access database and handles sql/xml strings back and forth..

Hi...

I deployed my web application on internet.

but my first page is .aspx file.

When i am renaming it to index.htm then i m able to get it when i browse my website...

so is it necessary to make it index.htm, then when i m renaming it and my site is displayed i observe that few controls are not available which are there in .aspx file

or is it that i did not deploy my website properly.

please give me solutions...

You have to set the Default page in IIS for that. Open IIS, Right Click on Virtual Directory> Go to the Documents | You can see index.htm is over there, that why its working. Remove all those stuff from the list, Add you default page name [ e.g : Home.aspx]
Then try.

I think i am falling short , so far as deploying the website is concerned.

Say... I already published the website and put it into the ftp.

now my startup page is main.aspx and i m not able to browse it in internet

... that would be great if u respond to this too...

You need to have access to the IIS properties to call it main.aspx. IIS 6 by default uses default.aspx. Try that if you don't have access to IIS, if you do have access to it, use the help from your other reply.

I have the following codes for a Combobox in my htm form:

Select a Text

Text 1
Text 2
Text 3
Text 4
Text 5

I would like to have the value in the Combobox (Text 1,Text 2, ...) become the same color with the default text, but whathever I tried ... those 'Text 1, Text 2, ...' remain as default color (black)

Try using

It would throw a warning(.net) but the output would still show up with an individual list item in color.

You would need to use a server-side language to update your website's content, such as ASP.NET or PHP, to write a page to do this for you - you could then send the output from your editor to this page and it would update the designated page's content for you.

am actually contemplating on various modes to develop a sip phone integrated in a web browser. the idea is not to download and install any application or plug-in in the system but to simple browse the application and to call the desired destination.

i have seen www.vaxvoip.com which provides handful of information to develop a activeX control for the web browser but this is not the actual central theme.
