I have an interface imported of Itaskbarlist3 (from pinvoke,http://www.pinvoke.net/default.aspx/shell32/ITaskbarList3.html[^])
I got the code to compile but how do I make use of the interface? I'm new to interfaces.
That pinvoke page is in c#. Here(http://pastebin.ca/1317369[^]) is my full vb.net version I'm using. It compiles but I don't know how to use the interfaces. Making a class that implements it doesn't seem to do anything.
How can I use the functions in this interface?

An Interface is what some external code is going to use to call your code. In this case, Windows is going to expect you to implement this interface so it can call your code.
Are you running your code under Windows 7?? Because this interface didn't show up until Windows 7 Beta 1. If your using Vista or XP, it's no surprise that your code isn't getting called. There's nothing calling it!

I'm using Windows 7 but I don't understand what to do. I'm trying to use a function of the interface itaskbarlist3 called SetProgressValue and SetProgressState but it isn't actually... doing anything.

Hi All,
I create a file like mail.aspx and mail.aspx.vb to send email. I show this form through thickox like <a href="/mail.aspx" class="thickbox">, this same link i have called 3 places index page, under content folder index page and under inventory folder index page.
index.aspx

inventory/index.aspx
If i click the link on index.aspx, it's works find and i received mail also but this same functionality is not working on other two place.
Any body have idea why this is not working.
I want where can i provide the form action on mail.aspx page.
Kindly go through this code and tell me your suggestions.

This question is better asked in the ASP.NET forum.
The description of your problem is not clear at all.
There's nothing obviously wrong with the code, other than I would probably move the entire "mail sending" method to another class so it can be reused from anywhere in your application.

The Problem description is not pretty much clear, However can you please try this
Replace the href in other index pages to ~/mail.aspx.
I am not sure although, I guess you can try it.

AOA Everyone,
how do you create relationship (or coding) between access and vb using adodc such that while using adodc on a form, for a textbox of item id in stock control software, every time you click new, all the rest textboxes are erased but item id remains there and the next item id is automatically generated and shown.

I'm looping through a collection of items and I'm deliberately creating an error, just to test the error handler.
The error trap works correctly for the first item in the FOR..NEXT loop, but on the second item it doesn't work and instead Outlook brings up an error message "type mismatch".
Of course I understand the error, but why doesn't the error trap work the second time around?

First of all, you need to start asking your questions in the ASP.NET forum[^].
Next, how easy it is to deploy a web-based app depends on the app itself, not the web-based requirement of it.
Lastly, I don't can't really figure out what you're asking with your last question, but I'll take a guess at it and say yes, IIS will work as a normal webserver on a standalone box for development.

Depending on your requirements you merely use a font. You can download a code 39 (3 of 9) font for free online which can hadle uppercase letters and numbers. Certain barcodes are limited to the characters they can handle and the more you use the longer the barcode becomes (which is true for code 39). I have found the most useful barcode to use is a code 128 type. These barcodes are a fixed length (regarless of the amount of characters) and also use all of the 128 ASCII characters . Code 128 barcode fonts require a checksum (validity check) in order to read characters so they are more challenging to use but if space is limited on the items you wish to apply barcodes to, I would recommend purchasing a code 128 barcode font and checking articles online that can help explain how to create this checksum. I'm a vb.net newbie; I'm currently developing an application for windows mobile on VB.
The program runs a math calculation every time a button is pressed.
I have a NumericUpDown box, is it possible to have the button be pressed automatically every time the value is changed on the NumericUpDown box?
I have heard of button1.performClick() but I have no idea how to use it.
Also I've noticed that the NumericUpDown object has a "ValueChanged" declaration.

VB6 is a dead language and examples are becomming more and more scarce. I highly suggest moving to VB.NET. As for examples, you're going to have to be a lot more specific in what you want to do with "desktop functions". At this time, the only thing we can do is direct you to Google and start searching for examples.
