This could be a postback issue. Do you try to read the text after a postback, by any chance? If the viewstate of the label isn't enabled, it could revert to the default value (difficult to say without seeing the code, tho')

Hi,
I am using Strongly Typed Dataset(.Xsd) to keep the values fetched from the database. And i am using three tyre architecture in my project.
I am using this Typed dataset not only to fetch the records from database and also to store the new values into the database.
I am getting a problem while i am trying to assign NULL for an integer field.
if (txtExperience.Text.Trim() == "")
row.Experience =(Int32)SqlInt32.Null; //row.SetExperienceNull;
//DbNull.Value;
else
row.Experience = Convert.ToInt32(txtExperience.Text);
I am getting the error below
Data is Null. This method or property cannot be called on Null values in strong typed dataset
I dont know how to pass the null value.
Pls help me!

Hi,
I have records in hidden field that are assigned to array that contains phone numbers.
I am getting each phone number and fire store procedure so that sms will send to that number.
My Application is too slow because if I send 1000 sms.
How can I Do ?
because of for loop it takes time? or any other solution to increse the speed of the application

Hi,
I hope you don't build an automatic sms spam application 
What you could try is to use a seperate thread to send the sms. So your application will not freeze, the user can use the app while it sends the sms in the background. Search with google and keywords "Consumer Producer pattern".

when i click on some link to open a aspx page ,it load master page .as there is same master page in all of my aspx pages ,how could it possible to load master page onece and view on all the aspx pages

One of the things you can do, is to cache the controls you have in the master page using OutputCache directive on top of the master page. That way all the controls in the master page are cached for whatever the time you want them to be.

now i m having a link to Add More to add more dropdownlist these dropdownlist are having their option from database...i successfully done that but on change event of dropdownlist i want to create child dropdownlist binded from database... u can see the example here[^]
please tell me how to solve this problem...the first dropdownlist displays category and the second one subcategory....

Bind the child DropDown list in the Selectedindex changing event of
the parent DropDown list

One way is to pass sessionid in query stirng and put varybyparam with sessionid as key.
But as we all know passing sessionid in query string is a security threat.

Visual Studio has a control called CrystalReportViewer that you can put on the page.In the properties for that control you will be able to browse to the location where you have .rpt files.

I have an option for export to excel in my webpage.When i click on that button, the save dialogbox appears but it remains hidden behind the webpage. So one have to minimize in order to enter filename and path.How can i put the dialogbox on top.
