Go to google, type in these keywords: .net linux
In general, for most of the answers in c#, go first to msdn website and search for what you are looking for. Microsoft has done such an awesome job in organizing the library and made it very easy to understand. If its not there, search in google.

Seems pretty straightforward. You already know to use the textchanged event. Use a ToolTip[^] to display the tooltip on the text box. In the textchanged event, just check that the type of data correct.

problem statement:
i want to detect and do some processing whenever the user types on any cell and leaves to another cell on the datagrid or even in another control, basically when the CELL that was typed on loses focus.

Well don't ask questions so broad and basic then. Do you expect an expert to write you an detailed analysis of the complexities of interop every time you demand it?
You should use Google. Read all the articles and documentation you can find. Absorb and understand it. When you have a specific question, or when you have exhausted Google and have something you still don't understand, then ask specific questions. It helps to say what you have done already. E.g. "I've read this (link) article on MSDN, and I don't understand why it says 'this', I've tried Googling 'keywords' but I can't find an explanation, can anyone explain it". interop is a massive topic, and I'm sure you'll be able to find an answer to "what is interop" quite easily if you just put in a little bit of effort yourself. You'll find people here are more willing to help if you have shown that you are not lazy and are prepared to make the effort to learn when you need to rather than automatically running to others with simple questions.
What you are doing is showing that you are too lazy to the hard work of using google to find some articles and to read them thoroughly, what you are asking for us for someone here to do the hard work for you.

Hi,
I have created a program and now I would like to use clickonce to have it setup on other machines.
Obviously, a number of the machines where this application should be installed on does not have .net 3.5
Questions:
1) How do I add .net 3.5 to the setup?
2) There are xml files used in this application. Do I need to add them to the setup too or does the setup automatically add them?

1) On the publish tab in the project properties. Click "prerequisites" and tick the required framework. You've then got several options as to where the framework will be downloaded from. (If you choose, "same location as my app" it will automatically copy the framework installers to the publish directory.
When you run the apps setup.exe, it will first check for the prereqs and kick off the installer if required.
2) Also on the publish tab. Click "Application Files" and make sure your xml files are set to be included.

I placed the setup.exe and asked a user to run it.
It is asking for .net 3.5
BUT, this is added as prerequisite during publishing it.
Any thoughts please?

You need to copy everything in the publish directory, not just the setup.exe.
(Although I've never used clickonce via a CD, it's kind of more aimed at network environments. Are you sure you wouldn't be better off with a regular .net setup project?)

I have installed it on my machine.
Then I can see that it has been added to my wwwroot folder as follows:
myApplicationName
-->_vti_cnf
-->Application Files
-->dotnextfx35
-->windowsinstaller3_1
publish.htm
setup.exe
myapplicationName.application
So, do you mean copy all these and give them to the user,
The user then copies them to his C drive somewehre and then the user double clicks the setup.exe?

Yes, the dotnextfx35 folder contains the .net 3.5 setup which will be run if needed.
(But like I said, are you sure you need clickonce. It's really aimed at network situations where you'll be doing auto updates and things like that. A standard .net setup project would probably suit your situation better)
