hello,
I am working on Asp.net 2.0
In my application i used shared datatable. when i click on submit button the values in the gridview will store in datatable.
my problem when two different users working with this application same time, two users data is storing in to the same datatable, and it is giving duplication values.
what sholud may be the problem, when we are using shared datatable,wont it create seperate (instance)datatable for different users?
Please help me Its urgent...

Expecting people to answer right away about your problem. Now, that aside, it sounds like your database needs to be normalized if you are getting two users putting in duplicate data at the same time.

actually i am not saving gridview data into the database, i am just saving it into the datatable(.Net) . at this situation it is not related with database.

Have you spend sometime to read the documentation and learn how shared variables works?
Shared(static in C#) will be available in the memory until the application domain unloads. Which means that multiple users will get the same copy. If you need to keep data which is unique for each user, consider sessions.

In my page i am having opton to show photo using asp image control and i am giving option to change photo.
i am using file upload control and saving image in server.
for change photo option after saving image into server photo is not refreshing. it is showing old photo only..
how to refersh image control to show new uploaded photo..
help me...

no i am not clearing browser's cache.. is it required to clear browser's cache.
if yes tell me how to clear browsrs cache...

Problem is browser cache. But AFAIK, you can't clear it from the code. When you upload new image, just attach a timestamp or GUID with the URL. So browser will think it as a new URL as load again.

While setting url you may please pass one more time attribute to the url. Like the following
imgPhoto.ImageUrl=string.Format("url?t={0}", DateTime.Now.Ticks.ToString());
I hope you can solve the problem in this way...

HI,
I have a gridview which displays large amount of data , but i didn't want paging in that, but only scrollbars vertically and horizontally.
my problem are
1) when i move scrollbar vertically the header of the gridview should not move, but only data should move.
2) when i move scrollbar horizontally, header as well as data both should move.
how can i achieve that.

place the gridview in div tag and specify fix width and height to the div
then whenever grid's width become larger than div it will show the scroll bar
|

i have already implemented what you are tell in,
but when i scroll vertically, then header is also scrolled out, that means i cannot see the header.
Any other suggestion..

I've got the same problem with a Panel and GridView.
I want to size the grid to fit in vertically, but allow scroll horizontally.
If I put the grid view in a Panel, when the grid data is displayed it exceeds the width of the panel. The horizontal scroll bar is displayed when this happens, which is what I want. However, this forces the vertical scroll bar to appear as the grid height + horizontal scrollbar height now exceeds the Panel height - which is not what I want.
If I change the size of the grid, it autosizes the grid rows to fit the grid height which does not work.
Any ideas,

the text are storing properly.., between that text if i insert a image its not storing properly..,
is there anyway is there to insert text and image in same datatype in sqlserver..,

When I invoke Web Site Administration Tool from VS 2008 I get ASPNETDB database in my APP_DATA folder. I had no intention to use it but my own DB. How to fix this problem?

Did you run aspnet_regsql.exe to make the provider to create the database? I'm no expert at this, but I recently had to make a custom personalization provider and if you didn't first make the database, it wouldn't use it. Someone feel free to correct me here.
