How to retain hyperlink color when clicked?

I have written the script as follows
a:link {
COLOR: #0000FF;
}
a:visited {
COLOR: #800080;
}
a:hover {
COLOR: #FF0000;
}
a:active {
COLOR: #00FF00;
)
when I click on a link..its color gets changed and redirects to some xyz.apsx page(assume).Now the link color gets refreshed in that page.I need to retain the color of link (i.e visited color) in redirected page.
how can this be done?

Hy,
can i add a dropdown list to a celender control so that i can select month and year directly from the drop down list without clickng on NEXT all the time(as it takes a lot of time).
Alernative solution to this problem are welcome

For this you have to customise lika below
Add a row above to calender control and add two dropdown in the that row one for month and another for year and on OnSelectedIndexChanged event of both set the calendar control Selected value like
int Year = Convert.ToInt32(ddlCalYear.SelectedItem.Text);
int Month = ddlCalMonth.SelectedIndex + 1;
myCalendar.VisibleDate = new DateTime(Year, Month, 1);

Hy thanks for replyng to my question...but can i add the list inside calender.. there is a control inside the calender (NEXT CONTROL)which shows next month..can i add droplist in place of that control.

This is Arun,
We have shifted our WebApplication and DataBase From Old Server i.e(Both webApplication and DataBase in same server,windows 2005 server and Framework 2.0) to New Server i.e(webapplication in seperate server and Databse in seperate server,windows 2008 server and Framework 3.0).
The problem our clients facing is machine key issues ,after shifting from old server to new server,, and webapplication has been developed using framework 2.0. How to resolve this problem.

Arun please post the error you are getting and line at which you are getting that error. enable debugging options so that you could get the source of error

Thanks for reply,
The Error is validation of ViewState MAC failed. if this application is hosted by a web farm or cluster , ensure that <machinekey> configuration specifies the same validtaion and validation algorithm.Auto genarate cannot be used in a cluster.

Hi,
I have written several web pages, all containing only one grid. Each page loads data from a different table in DB.
Now I would like to put it all together in the following way. have a master page with a navigation bar. each item in the navbar will point to a different table. all the different grids will now be different content pages.
The question is: how can I do it in a way that when clicking on different navbar items, only the grid will be seen to be refreshed,
not the whole page?
I am sure there must be a way to do it...

Just add one iframe in your webpage.And while clicking just set the src for the iframe from script as the target webPage.

But unfortunately we have decided not to use iframes...so we need a solution in the context of master/content pages.

A website could have different sessions running etc. You could store the info in a database that both websites are using and then get it from there.

if there is no seesion and there is different data on the single page and i want only a particular data ???
