I am working on an ASP.net application, that has been running in 2 different languages, danish and english for 4 years.
The customer needs now to include the japanesse language.
Is there something, that I should be aware off!
Like SQL statements, convertion of (dates,strings) and so on. I am using SQL server, ASP.net and C# code.
Some of the text used in the application is placed in the database and some in ressource files.
What about the server, IIS is there any settings needed?
I hope somebody out there have done such implementation and can share some of the experienced issues.

I'm not 100% certain if this is the case, but if Japanese is read in a different direction (e.g. right to left), then you'll have to have a good look at the design of your site to ensure that it can be supported.
You'll also need to make sure that your DB is using wide text types (e.g. nvarchar) to allow the saving of the Japanese characters.

I have seen, some applications with the Japanesse language, but the text looks like it's writen from left to right. But I am not sure exactly.

I am getting problem in putting text at the cursor location in freetext box which is place in a Place holder and .
My code is as follows:

the statement
"FTB_API['ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_ftbMailText'].InsertHtml
(ddlPlaceHolders.options[ddlPlaceHolders.selectedIndex].text);"
is working fine but when i change it to get value instead of text as
"FTB_API['ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_ftbMailText'].InsertHtml
(ddlPlaceHolders.options[ddlPlaceHolders.selectedIndex].text);"
its not showing any thing in the freetext box. Please help me

I want to insert the hidden field value at cursor position in freetextbox by pressing the buttion. How I can do it using the

hi, Its my first time for ASP.NET, therefore this question can look strange. I want a big poster image in front page of website. So I splitted that image in some pieces and added same sized ImageBoxes. But problem is that those ImageBoxes are overlapping each other(very small) thats why i can clearly see its parts. Here is screenshot

i have uploaded the image file using asp fileupload control.

it's simple you just have to add a ImageField in Gridview.
Just select the Gridview & click on the arrow shown on Right side(Gridview Tasks)and Add New Column -->select ImageField(Choose a Field Type) & give your column name i.e the column having Path , used in the query to bind the gridview,in Data field

Hello All,
I have a web page which has two Iframe call the seprate page now seen is this I select and save some data(product name) in first iframe and now i want to bind a dropdownlist in other iframe with the product name details.
so i want to refresh each time to other page for populating the data in dropdownlist.
So how can i refresh the othe web page when i call the both page in a iframe....

Please dont use asp.net as your subject. We know its an asp.net question, thats why you are in this forum.
As for your question, you have to be careful what music you play through your website due to copyright laws.

Ah, it all becomes clear. The bit about "Am trying to create a chat engine" actually means "I want some idiot to create a chat engine for me" - tough. Do your own code or pay for someone to do it.
