In which case I suggest either a good book or use Google. This forum does not do homework - there is no point, if someone here did it you would not learn anything, and I may end up fixing your crap code.

hi
i have datagrid where i display data and i have set AutoGenerateDeleteButton="true" AutoGenerateEditButton="true".when i click edit on gridview once it doesn't show upadte and cancel,it only shows when i click for second time.

Hi
I have a query which is ran from my aspx page.
The query is ordered by a field which contains the letters 'y' and 'n'
Now when the letter is not a capital it orders fine, but when the letter is a capital it doesnt order properly.
Why is this?
any help would do.

always make it to same case, means either Upper case or Lower case before you order by in the query.

no need to do this manually...
But if you like in code ... this would not be a big deal. Have you used LINQ. ..

hi all,
ive an issue..i created a web application..The link is like this http://servername/abc/login.aspx. In the login page ive written the following javascript function
var win = open ('Login.aspx', 'login','fullscreen=yes, scrollbars=auto');
to maximise the page fully thereby hiding the URL.Its working fine in the local servers(dev,beta and test server).But when i deploy it in the production server(internet)in the client place,the URL with the above link becomes apparent causing concern.I think there is something to do with the security settings of the browser.But tats gonna b a herculean task to go and change in each and every client's pc..Can any1 help me find a best solution for this issue?Thanks in advance..
Note:This happnens in IE 7.0 only

hi all,
With reference to my earlier query,i found out that the security settings is the main issue.It works 5n in IE6.0 irrespective of the security settings(whethr medium,low-medium or high) whereas in IE7.0 if we change the security settings to medium-high the address bar and the title bar becomes visible which causes concern.Can any one tell me whethr it is possible to control the security settings via coding?if yes then how?

Thanx phil..i knew that tis not possible..tats y i made anothr statement in my earlier mail for other alternatives?k tell me whether is it psble to get/retrieve the security settings via coding and give an alert for the user to change his browser security settings to Low and proceed?

generally we cant have multiple script managers in a single page.
I dont know exactly .. but I dont think it is a good idea for using one Beta product with the Original one ....

I just tought that you can do it if it is from different toolkits.

AFAIK you can’t change any client side printer settings using javascript or server side scripting. An ActiveX control may help.

The situation is like this....
I have a grid showing "FileName" as link...
For "FileName" i placed ContextMenuStrip that contains a linkbutton(Save) when i click on "Save" , i need which FileName should i need to save. For that i need the parent client id of Save. Is this way is correct?

With this code, I got new row in the datagrid.
But the problem Occurs, When the pagesize exceeds.
Here I have given pagesize as 10.
Assume there is 10 rows.Now When AddNewRow button is clicked, I should get new row in next page.(Total 11 rows).10 in first page and the new row in next page.
How can I get this?

Do you mean that you want to close the browser for any event ?
Just write a javascript for that you can try below one
window.opener = self;window.open('','_parent','');window.close();
