I disagree with you that in the implementation, we could provide accessor like private, here is my code with compile error when we add private qualifier to implementation method. Any comments?

Hello everyone,
I have one confusion about strongly named assembly.
Suppose I am developing a library (DLL), and other application is linked with it (reference to the library DLL), my purpose is not to make the dependent application rebuild if I do not change the interface exposed to the application.
(i.e. if I just changed the implementation of the exposed interface and keep interface the same, application developer just need to copy my new library DLL, all other changes are transparent to application, and no need to rebuild.)
My question if I made the DLL strongly named, even if I keep the exposed interface the same (just change interface implementation), the application needs to rebuild? Why?

The links that you posted look like they are for the VSTO msdn sections. VSTO is the premier Office authoring tool for Office 2007,2003. VSTO for VS2003 can target Office2003, VSTO for VS2005 can target Office2003, VSTOse2 for VS2005 can taget both offices, VSTO for VS2008 can taget both as well. VSTO comes depending upon the version of Visual Studio you have installed.
I personally have VS2008Pro (free to college students if you signup for DreamSpark[^]). This Visual Studio fully supports VSTO that can target Office 2003, 2007.

I was looking for somewhere to find out how to do some things with Visual Studio 2008. I know most people recommend downloading/paying for a better installer elsewhere but I just cannot afford it at this present time.
Im just curious about during a setup, I want to create a database. I see how you can add a custom action and there I could put my sql query based upon the users input for the server/username/password. Now if it is successfull then how do I integrate it into the application after install so the application will know where to look for it? That is for a Windows application. So how would I integrate it into the web.config for a web application so it knows what server to look for?

For making database at run time i would recommend you to create a windows project and add its output in custom actions. Right click on set-up project and add custom actions.

I have DataGridView in virtual mode containing 3500 rows.
In code below, assigning to RowCount value to 3500 takes 8 seconds.
CPU usage goes high at this time.
Stepping by F11 into user code shows few celltemplate property getters and
combobox/datecombo constructor calls without database access which does not
take a lot of time.
Debug output (below) shows lot of messages Stepping over non-user code.
Running in release mode from Windows this line speed is same (slow).

I'm trying to make an FTP program in C#. The only class to use in C# is FtpWebRequest.
For each connection I start a new thread which opens the FTP connection and uploads or downloads.
But when finishing the upload routine and testing it, it seems FtpWebRequest only handles 2 connections, a 3rd or 4th upload hangs in the GetRequestStream function.
I tried setting the ServicePoint.ConnectionLimit to 4 but that doesn't help and I can't find any other methods of changing this apparent connection limit.
It's not a problem of the ftp server I connect to, because other ftp programs can do more than 2 connections to that server. I even set the MaxConnectionsPerServer keys in the registry (on this pc and the server, allthough I believe these are meant for http download connections, not ftp, but I'm thinking maybe FtpWebRequest isn't true ftp ?)
And apparently I'm the only one with this problem, cause I cannot find any mention of this on google.
Anybody got any ideas ?
Oh, and by the way, its pretty slow too, is that a known issue ?

If you mean the maxconnectionsperserver key in the registry, I already increased it and it doesn't help.
Besides like I said, other ftp programs can do a lot more connections, so that would mean ftpwebrequest is not real ftp.
