There is no official way to attach files using "mailto" protocol. Most likely because of the security reasons.
However some email clients do accept the attachment parameter with the file in quotes i.e. attachment="C:\fileName.txt" such as outlook 98.

Basically you can't, and as it depends on the email client, you have no idea what they are using - outloook, eudora etc etc

Hi all,
I am dynamically creating s list of rating controls based on a table in my database.
I'm using a datareader to pupulate a placeholder.
This is all fine, the problem comes when I try to save the values on the rating controls back to the db.
I can change the values on the rating controls from default (3) to any other value but when getting each individual RatingControl.CurrentValue, it uses the default value.
I think this is because the controls are created dynamically and therefore get their values reset on postback?
How do I go about retreiving the new values as seelcted by the user?

The solution is infact to create the controls at Page_Init instead of Page_Load...
This way viewstate is preserved

Hi,
I am using vb.net and db2 database for my application. When I open attachments in my local webserver, the attachments are opening properly. But I am facing problem when I try to open same attachments in Test envoirnment, I am getting error message because datareader is not reading BLOB data from database.Its giving the BLOB of length zero.
It seems there is some problem with IIS settings. Please help me to solve this problem.
Note: Attachment data is saved in database.

Silverlight 2 will be rolled out tomorrow. Silverlight 2 goes beyond the media-centered Web user interface that came out in the first version. Silverlight 2 includes a subset of the .NET Framework and allows ISVs to build rich Internet applications (RIA) using .NET.
Developers and designers collaborate to build .NET client Web applications. Silverlight 2 supports new programming languages like C#, Python, and Ruby. You can call Web services and Atom endpoints to support componentized Web applications.
Automatic updates are due in the next few weeks. Businesses will be able to control those updates. Silverlight will run in Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer on Windows and Mac OS. Novell is working on a version for Linux.

Microsoft estimates that one in four computers users have access to Silverlight.
Tools Support
