Yes. I cannot view my page at my server. But I can view in my system.

For ex.
I've run my setup in my system. I can view my page if run the following url in my machine.

http://localhost/EmpDet/EmpDetails.aspx.

The same, I've run the setup in my server named Server15. I cannot view
my page if I run the following url in the server machine it self

http://localhost/EmpDet/EmpDetails.aspx. (I run this in server machine)

If I run in my local machine by using server host. I can see my page.

http://server15/Empdet/EmpDetails.aspx. (I run in my local machine. And I can view my page)

be sure asp.net development server is working.if is not,restart your pc.

This is a bit confusing. You wont be able to see it by going to localhost on your computer as the server is not local.
Is it a web server'/
Are you typing in a URL?

http://server15/Empdet/EmpDetails.aspx. (I can view in local machine. Here I am accessing my server)

http://localhost/Empdet/EmpDetails.aspx (Here I can view in my local pc.)

In server machine, I go to my virtual directory of IIS and in the right pan, I can have my all pages. I right click on the start page and click browse. But I am gettng "the page cannot be displayed"

Right Click on your application and choose properties and make sure that Under virtual directory tab that there is an application name.

When change screen resulotion through code in asp.net with code then no probleam. After publish and run on localhost and change screen resulotion then show error:

Showing a modal dialog box or form when the application is not running in UserInteractive mode is not a valid operation. Specify the ServiceNotification or DefaultDesktopOnly style to display a notification from a service application.

please tell me how solve this probleam.

That only works in the special case where the server computer and the client computer is the same physical computer, i.e. you are browsing on the server to the same server, and when you are using the same user account for browsing that the server is using for running the server code, e.g. when you are running the site in Visual Studio.

For any other sitation your code would try to change the resolution of the user interface on the server computer, not the client computer. As the web server application is running without a user interface, this is not possible.

Custom Validation using Regular Expression

Hi,
I am using Regular Expression control for Custom validation. I am trying to validate the logical Drive so My requirement is: First Character should be C-Z,Second Character":", and third Character "\" and Remaining character anything. i.e. "D:\....."

I am using expression like "^([C-Zc-z]{1}:\)*" But its not validating my requiremt correctly.

Any Correction will be great help.

Hi,

Anyone out there who can help me I have to implement a Custom MembershipProvider but my problem is our database Schema is totally different from one of the many examples and the which default. One other thing I just need to know is if I implement the Custom Membershoip Provider do I have to declare the methods like GetUser() the way it is and with the same parameters? Guys please help I'm tired of cracking my head.

You can validate a bank sort code and that a bank account has the correct check digit, but thats about as far as you can go. Try Google for further details.

In Edititemtemplate field use textboxes for (Name , EndDate) . when u click update button only that fields changes.

Hi,

I am using .net 2.0 & Sqlserver 2005. I have databases for the months, i.e., I have to insert recrods into the db of the current month. For example I can insert and handle records from October db only when the current month is October. But this should happen automatically. Users don't have permissions to change the db. I don't have idea to implement this. Please help me to implement this.

Hi Kandalu,
All the element in the connection string will be same you only have to replace the database name for each month. So just get the curreent month and update the connection string dynamicaly so that the recrods can be insrerted for the current month.

Hi HemJoshi,

Thanks for your quick reply. I thought like you. But I don't know where to set the connection string either as an application variable or at the page load event? In .net if we change the current date, the changed date only appear when we use the "DateTime.Now()" function. I don't know how to get the correct date whenever the user change the date.
Could you tell me how to implement this?

Hi kandalu, do not use DateTime.Now()it will fatch the client current date.Create a procedure at database side which will return the current date(using getdate()).This will always return the cureent date of the database server.

Error message is clear, isn't it? Server don't have AJAX server extensions installed.
