Hi,
How can I retrieve the value of one form field in aspx page by a class. For instance: I have a Name.text field in the form and I dont' want to use the following approach but I want to diretly get the value of it by a class.
<br />
Dim Myclass as Customer<br />
<br />
Myclass.Name = Name.text ' That is how we sent the value to class.<br />
<br />
That is what I want. How would it be possible for the class to directly get the value of the Name.text field?
<br />
Dim Myclass as Customer<br />
<br />
'Whenever I set the paramater as true, class will get all the fields value of a active form.<br />
<br />
MyClass.Form = ActiveFormName<br />
MyClass.ProcessForm = True <br />
<br />

Iknow what I am describing Bob. I was looking for another (approach). I know how to assign values of fields to a class object. The problem was about how to get the form fields directly inside a class.

I obviously misunderstood. If all you need are the controls from a form, why not pass the form into the class and iterate through the controls - you will need some sort of standard to allow you to match the cntrol name to the property, but I have used a similar technique in winforms very sucessfully.
Hope this idea is of use.

Please drag a scriptmanager control on the pagr from tool box.The drag updatepanel.You can drag as many update panel as you want but scriptmanager will be onlyone.Then you can drag your controls in the updatepanel as requirment.There is a seeting for updatepanel as updatemode you can set it as Always/Conditional.by setting it conditional you can update from codebehind.

Place those control inside updatepanel. When the postback happend only the updatepanel portion will be post back. if you have multiple updatepanel and you want update based on condition , use updatemode as conditional.

Hi,
The Page has to expire when the user clicks the browser back button.
I tried with the following code in Page load event
Response.Buffer = True
Response.ExpiresAbsolute = Now().Subtract(New TimeSpan(1, 0, 0, 0))
Response.Expires = 0
Response.CacheControl = "no-cache"
But did not work
I even Tried with the
Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.NoCache)
But page is not expired.
Any suggestion is appreciated.

i trying to get the subtotal of my worksheet using vb 2005 but i always get an error:
Subtotal method of Range class failed
this is my code:
Selection = Excel_App.Range("G2", "G4")
Selection = Excel_App.ActiveCell.CurrentRegion
Selection.Subtotal(GroupBy:=2, Function:=xlsum, TotalList:=(2), Replace:=True, PageBreaks:=True, SummaryBelowData:=True)
and one more thing... how can i get the subtotal in everychange in for example employees name?
hope you understand what im trying to ask about...

Hi All,
I have a master page Admin.master which contains an ajax Tab Container. Tab Container again contains 3 tab panels "users","QuestionBank","Roles".3 content placeholders are present in content templates of eachtabpanel.
I'm using the these content place holders in 3 pages Users.aspx,QuestionBank.aspx,Roles.aspx. so, when i click tab "Users" it should go to "Users.aspx", similarly for other tabs.
I am looking for some one who can help me as soon as possible. it's very urgent

Hi all,
When i execute a query in the query window(VS 2005),it works well and returns a row of data.But when im trying to use the same query in my coding ,it pop ups an error like "Invalid attempt to read when no data is present."What will be the reason.?Can anybody help me to find the problem with this.

did you forgot Read() method ? before geting the data fro DataReader, or Reader / Connection is Closed before reading ?

I have sample web application with two textboxes and two comboboxes on the web form.
when i am trying to open the application in Internet explorer the indentation and position of textboxes and comboboxes are the same what i have given.
when i am trying open using mozilla the position of textboxes and comboboxes are changed.They are overlapping also

FF and IE render CSS differently so you need to test both browsers with your app. There is no simple solution.

There are loads of differences between IE and Firefox, have a google for css positioning, that should help sort you out.
