 how i use update panel on this because when i click on link button a new window open through javascript and when form is return from close i want that in my drop down new value should be store?
please tell me how to do this? using ajax or any thing else

I think you are using AJAX on this Page.Please register the javascript event with scrip manager as
ScriptManager.RegisterStartupScript(this.Page, this.GetType(), this.ClientID, "ShowMessage();",true);

why you are not using __doPostBack insted of window.opener.location.reload();

Hi all,
I am trying create a websetup project for my website. My requirements are
1. I have to check whether SQL Server 2005 is exist in the Client System . If not exist, the setup should terminate.
2.Registration key validation, for that I have to generate a key1 this will be shown in registration form(in label) to user, then user have to enter key2(In a text box). I have to validate the key2 entered by the user.
3. Providing desktop short cut icon. If user clicks on icon, it should open home page of my website.
4. Providing Programs menu shortcut, functionality same as above 2.
5. After copmpletion of installation, i have to show Reade document by providing Button[ReadMeFile] ,if user hits this button i have to open the ReadMe Document.
6. I have move My DataBase files(.ldf &.mdf) to directory [Program Files]\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data , I have to change the Connection string of my web.config page.
7. I heve to Insert Some values into DataBase table.
8. If any thing fails, i have to roll back/uninstall all files.
Please suggest me how to do websetup for above my requirements.

Sounds like someones homework gone wrong again.
I don't think you are even sure what you are doing.
- You do NOT deploy a website to a users PC, you deploy it to a web server such as IIS.
- The database should be on the server, not the users PC.
- A web site doesn't have licences etc.
Take your homework back and clarify your requirements, then do it.

i have given a search option in my web page, i'm opening new window to display the calender control..
My problem is When i close the Main window the calender control window is still opened..
how can i close the child window, when the parent is closing...
this im using to check the closing of browser

I am loading aspx page with in div tag of another aspx and im using scriptmanager.First time im loading this in page load event and its loading fine then i'm loading Same page by changing value in dropdown here i got this Error
The State Information is invalid for this page and might be corrupted.. I dont know why this error occur and how to fix this.
Please help me...

Hello every body.
I have GridView, inside it there are few labels(inside template field)
to display the data, for each row there is button. If i click to the button
I have loaded the previously created UserControl. This UserControl is shown in ajax popupExtender. Inside the UserControl there are few button.
The problem is No event is fired for a single button.
How can I fire Event for the button .
please help me.
