Hi All,
I need to read image from the bitmap. I don't want to save it on to the server, but read directly from object in order to display it in image object . My code is:
HttpWebResponse response = request.GetResponse() as HttpWebResponse;
Stream stream = response.GetResponseStream();
MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream();
BinaryWriter bw = new BinaryWriter(ms);
BinaryReader br = new BinaryReader(stream);
bw.Write(br.ReadBytes((int)response.ContentLength));
ms.Position = 0;
Bitmap fred = Bitmap.FromStream(ms) as Bitmap;
Now Please give me a solution to read the image from this bitmap.

Are you making a windows application or a web application?
If you are making a windows application, you can just show the Bitmap in a picture box.
If you are making a web application, you are on the wrong track. To display the image in the browser you don't use a Bitmap object at all (unless you actually want to modify the image). What you read from the web request is an image file in form of a binary stream, and that is exactly what you send to the browser when it requests the image. However, you can't use the image stream in the same response as the page, you have to send it in a separate request. Make a separate page that gets the image and sends it as the response stream to the browser, and use that page as source in the image tag.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

Thanks for ur suggestion. I am using it on web application. I have written an HttpHander for the same, but it is not working on Firefox.Can u give me a quick solution.

The code doesn't run in the browser, it runs on the server, so it's not really browser specific in any way. What specifically do you mean by "not working"?

Hi Guffa,
Now it is working fine. The code was OK but the only problem was due to my Default page. As when I changed my page name, it started working fine. Initially it was asking to download my Default.aspx Page. I don't know the reason but now it is working fine.

Hi,
I had migrated ASP.Net 1.1 application to ASP.Net 2.0.
Somehow I could succesfully run the Migrated ASP.Net2.0 application and now the major issue is DEPLOYMENT.
After I publish, when I host the application in a webserver where there is only .Net Framework 2.0.I am facing errors(like file not found), when I trace I could see that the migrated solution is refering to the old ASP.Net 1.1 path.
and the application is not functioning perfectly its giving few errors.
NOTE: I migrated to ASP.Net Web Application of ASP.Net 2.0
please guide me.

you have to had MDAC installed on the client in order connect to the database from client-side script. Then just use standard ADO.
But note that its not recommended, once the database will be in other machine than the client. It could be very slow or even not possible. not mentioning security issues...

Hi.
When I encrypt Web.Config using RSA, a key is generated and is placed in \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys
But when I upload it the key is in my copmuter, how should I send the key to server?

I work with visual web developer 2005 for the 1st time and sqlserver2005 to achieve an intranet site for the service school.
Now what they are doing is that university is:
For each semester, the registration service write the names and num-registration ds register students this semester in an Excel worksheet for each level.
each teacher introduced the notes of his field for different students in a column (note_matière1 for example) of this spreadsheet excel.
they use Excel to calculate ways,..
I spent a lot of time to test a gridview but there is no possibility of inserting a column if I:
Num_inscription name marks_frensh
1077 ssss 12
1078 AAA 15
1079 kkkkk 16
To insert the notes they need me whenever select and then click update for each student and it is not practical !!!!!
I spent a lot of time with and excel without result.
I consulted a lot of forum was told than in the controls Infragistics, there is a grid like excel but I need the license !!!!!!!
how to insert an entire column marks by clicking on a button.
I dont know if I happened to explain this project or not.

Each teacher will have the GridView before him he should write notes of all students, and then save them in the db .The problem is how to store this data just by clicking a button (not for each student but the list).
Update the column is possible :

Here i am trying to convert grid data into pdf format.
