Hi All,
I would like to take only Date part of DateTime variable?
Eg. 2008-09-18 12:00:01.000' i only needed 2008-09-18
Please advice

DatTime has a ToShortDateString() method. You can also access the Year ,Month & Day properties directly.
All this you could have found out yourself by reading the actual documentation for the class.

I am having a gridview. I want ot put the data from the gridview to the business object and store it in aarraylist. and then pass the array of objects to store data in the database.
I am not getting the value of the gridview column in the object . I am doing like this
for( i=0;i<gridview1.rows.count;i++)
{
classABC objectABC=new classABC ();
objectABC.ItemBaseId=Convert.ToString(GridView1.Rows[i].Cells[2].Text);
objectABC.Catalog = Convert.ToString(GridView1.Rows[i].Cells[3].Text);
objectABC.Series = Convert.ToString(GridView1.Rows[i].Cells[4].Text);
arr.Add(objbom);
}
Please tell me how to do this?

You have
arr.Add(objbom);
but it should be
arr.Add(objectABC);
as objbom isn't even defined.

ya I tried with that also.
But am not getting the value that are in the gridview cells.
the gridview value is coming null.
Am I doing some mistake while setting gridview text to the object?

I don't know. Have you tried debugging to see what values you are getting?

My query is "Select * from FILE1 where val(substring(mycode,3,2))=10"
Sql say error as val is not recognised function name

Thats because it isn't. Bet you copied this from excel or Access. Just look up substring in sql help.

Hi All,
I've created a tab container with tab panels. The page in which I created the tab container is a content page.When I run the application I am not able to view the tabs.If I create these tabs in normal pages I have no problem.

Why do you have:
<form id="form1" runat="server">
and
<asp:scriptmanager id="ScriptManager1" runat="server">
In my opinion these to should bee on your MasterPage and not on the content page
I had a project where I used tabs on a content page without any problems...... Try to move this two and then run it again.....

I think change your web site to web application. Then it will do.. I think.
You need to see if the file is included or not and in current namespace.

Check if the newly created class has any namespace
if it has namespace then include this namespace in your .vb class
by
using namespaceWholeName;
then try to access

Might be yours is website and compiler will not compile you class files until these are not in App_Code folder thats the reason you can't access this class
