sorry for that title well actually everything is properly installed but i think there is some problem with build environment because i had checked in codeguru where for same problem MICk has written solution but it was in 2003 january it was posted . my doubt is i feel there is some problem with version but i am sure it is problem with build enviroment i am not understanding where to include the path and describe the environment variables.

It looks like the error is due to the issue with project settings.Is warning.h file present in your system(in some other path)?
Also check whether the latest Driver Development Kit that you have installed has this file?

if it doesn't work even though the file is present, it's because the compiler doesn't look it the right place for it.
check your compiler settings, especially the external includes...

Yes I agree with toxcct's views.
I see you are building 2 different projects in diff configuration. If you are building the first project in Debug mode, build the other/dependent project also in Debug mode. Is there a specific reason for building in 2 diff configuration?

I am using a vector toro push data from the server. I want if there is new data for some record of vector that record ofvector should be up updated with the new data. Please tell me how to achieve it.

Actually i am using push_back function to insert records in the form of a structure.
Now when i click a button for some selected record i have new data. I want to store this new data so that the previous record gets updated.

do you have an ID or something unique identifying your record ?
if so, you could have used a map (I don't know exactly what you're doing BTW), which does this automatically.

so you can pop the previous data from the vector before pushing the new data in...
pop_back - Deletes the element at the end of the vector.
push_back - Add an element to the end of the vector.
Somethings seem HARD to do, until we know how to do them.

but i am creating database programticall i am defining datatype of "Name" dbtext but i am unable to set unicode compression property = yes

I will suggest Use CComboBox.
and add values to combo in loop starting from 1800 till current year.

Hi Guys,
I have a number say 4-12 process that will operate as a set. When some new information arrives in one it occationally needs to do something in tandem with another process as quickly as possible. So, I have a thread in each process just waiting for an event to be flagged. When it is, it can check the database for the actual work.
What I have right now is a 50ms loop. This create a lot of CPU overhead from the database to be hit every 50 ms, so I'm looking for a way for two process to communicate.
Initially I thought of using a Mutex so it'll sit there waiting to aquire it, and when released the thread will immediatly check the database, but ownership becomes a problem. It's almost as if I need the opposite of a Mutex. Something that is always locked until it's unlocked.
Does anyone have thoughts on how I might get my processes to sleep until something is flagged? Thoughts?

You can use WaitForSingleObject and wait for particular event till it is set.
See documentation for details WaitForSingleObject[^].
