Just check which frame work your application is referring. I guess its referring 1.1 framework.
To change the version , open IIS, right click of the project folder,go to properties.
In the ASP.NET tab you will find the version its referring.

may be there is problem with his web.config file !!!

I put an aspxhtmleditor control in an aspx page.if we type in the textarea and allow bold and some other property to the text.I want to send the text in the changed format to another user.The text will appear as follws.How i change the html format and view the text to the user in the chenged format itself.

It's not possible. ASP.NET won't get permissions to read files kept on client's machine. What is wrong in using "File Upload" control?
BTW, you can use ActiveX controls, but that has nothing to do with ASP.NET.

i added a crystal report to my asp.net.. but when i try create an object i cant access it
i want to say: CrystalReport objRpt = new CrystalReport ();
But i cant do this..
ended up using this code:
ReportDocument rpt = new ReportDocument();
string reportPath = Server.MapPath("CrystalReport .rpt");
rpt.Load(reportPath);
rpt.SetDataSource(ds);
CrystalReportViewer.ReportSource = rpt;

Does component CrystalReportViewer1 is empty when you provide datasoruce?

no i dont get any error message.. it just shows the reportviewer with the empty textboxes, asking me to enter the values and even when i do enter them nohting happens.

Hi,
for using Microsoft Ajax Control Toolkit, is it important that it's for .Net2 or .Net 3.5?
AJAX is AJAX (javascript + XML) it is not depends on .Net framework version, No?
Why microsoft says "AjaxControlToolkit-Framework3" ?

The toolkit is a combination of javascript files as well as asp.net server controls. If you are not using the server controls (you've extracted the javascript files from the source code) then it doesn't matter at all which framework is being targeted. But if you're going to use the user controls then you'll want to use the version which is compatible with the framework version you're targeting.
