Hi Guys,
I am working with an application that has a session variable, but it doesn't work. So I created a sample test asp in order for me to simulate the process. But still the session value doesn't change. Please check my sample code below if what's lacking. The session variable is Session("temp")

I'm using an asp:Label control inside a DataList. The control renders as a TD, but the contents are truncated if too long. How can I make the text content wrap without inserting breaks?

If you set a width for the TD then the contents of it should be wrapped.

I have no direct access to the TD. One TR/TD is rendered for each item in the DataList control. I've tried setting a width on the DIV in my item template, but that has no effect.

Use Firebug or equiv, check out the styles on your TD and its parents - my guess is, either the white-space:nowrap style is set somewhere, or there's an old nowrap attribute floating around. Kill it, and you'll get what you want (assuming there's sufficient white space for wrapping).
If your question is more "how do i get the DataList to act right", then try the ASP.NET forum.

Hi All,
I used Cascading dropdownlists for Coutry & State.
I wrote webdervice to fill the dropdownlists.
Its all working fine.
But when i trying to get SelectedIndex of Dropdownlists, its always giving SelectedIndex as 0 (Zero).
ex:
int index =ddl_Country.SelectedIndex;//Giving '0'
Please suggest me where i went wrong.

Hi,
Just a small suggestion, you can access the SelectedValue property of the first CascadingDropDown control in order to populate the next CascadingDropDown control.

Hi,
I don't know if it's possible or what.. I need a script or something where I can right text on like (Note Pad) and in a certain day the text is shown on the site.
For example if today there is a game it on the website is shown the date, time and place. and the next day the next match (date, time and place) replaces the old one.

Yes, its possible. You need some sort of storage for your text (database, file etc) and some code to check the dates and display it.

To make it strictly legal, the pieces of software you use, such as Dreamweaver or Windows, as you have listed, should be genuine copies and not pirated.

It depends what you're selling, on what scale you're selling it and at how much you sell it. If you're selling your products/services on a small-scale then there's no need, however as it is part of your income then you're likely to have to pay income tax on the money you make from it, dependent on how your tax system works.

Why are you so stuck on this? Your ASP VBScript runs on the server. It creates a response to a request received via HTTP, and this response can contain Javascript. The Javascript does not run until it reaches the client (a web browser), which knows nothing of and cares nothing for the ASP script that generated it.

Hello, I am writing an ActiveX control by C++ and tried to let it be installed on IE.
I use MS Cabinet SDK to compress the .ocx file, some other required .ax and .dll into a .cab file.
And some parameters of the .inf files are
file-win32-x86=thiscab
RegisterServer=yes
CLSID={xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}
DestDir=
FileVersion=x,x,x,x
But when I use IE to connect the ip address which html stores.
(IE is on my Virtual PC environment, the html and http server is on my PC),
The expected result doesn't happen.
I can see the ActiveX file is installed at windows/downloaded program files, but the ActiveX doesn't work in the html page.
I tried many combinations of .ax and .dll in the .inf file, but all weren't work.
I also checked the CLSID and file version of .dll and .ax, all were right but the ActiveX still doesn't work.
But if I use IE to open the local file, the ActiveX can work. But my goal is to let the ActiveX can work on the internet.
Does anyone have the sugggestion about the possible error reason ?
Or some useful tools can make me understand why error happens ?
My Environment : Vista SP1 + VS2005 SP1, Virtual PC is XP SP3
