hello frndz,
I am very confused, which transaction level should i use ???
What i want to do is , I have to insert 1000 value in a database table n i used transaction handling concept for that purpose.
My Isolation level is "READ COMMITED" but if any other user try to insert record in same table then it will retun me TIME OUT exception.
i think it will lock whole table till i completed my transaction...
what can i do for it ???
can i lock that perticular rows which i inserted???
any other hint ??? that table should not get locked ???
I have Sqlserver 2000 and .NET 2.0

Use Stored procedure instead of single transactions..
it lockes the SQL from its process Begin...to....End.

Hi
I am using tables to do the outline design for my webpage.
The problem is, is that there is small gaps between each tables which I want to remove so that all areas are tight to each other.
Is there a way to do this, like reduce padding on table or border?

Yes i got edit button and save button.the thing is i have 2500 records and in that i update 2000 th record and am using pageing also.in my application while saving it saves 2500 record with updation record.instead of one record iam saving 2500 records.may be boz of that iam not able to save ...

I must say that you are doing it the wrong way Raj. For one record why should you save 2500 records? Just get that record and update that specific one. Just imagine if you have got 50000 records. What will you do then?

yaa ur question is right but we are in peak position we cant to update code bcoz if we update this we need to change a lot of code bcoz of that we are not doing that one......any help from ur side...

I hope you are using stored procedure for loading records. All you have to do is to update that store procedure a bit so that it returns required number of records only.

hai frnds
i have a issue regarding my webproject .i coded a smtp mail server along with options to attach images . the uploaded images are stored in a folder in web directory. while running in vb 2008 it works
but while running in iis while attaching the images a message reporting that you have no access right to upload into the folder.i try to change the access right of that folder but its not working
i m using iis 5.1 and vb 2008 and IE 5

Try giving rights of asp.net to iis. If that doesn't works allow anonymous users.

These links are for ASP.Net and IIS 7.0. I am using VB ASP and IIS 5.0.
Actually during testing(against hacks), one can actually get the internal IP address and the host name. I want to supress that. I tried adding custom header but its just adding another one and not replacing the actual IP or host name.

What is the use of this ? whay you are taking DataKeys ? what your dataKey Filed Contains ?
