It compiles and there is no error messages. video preview show black screen,although avi frame capturing works fine.. and video capture with VideoCap works. I wish to capture from the Capture Card as well and currently using a surveillance camera. I am beginner in video programming C++. What possibilities of mistakes there may be? Any advice please! T he simple cause of this might be that you haven't actually written it yet, more complex possible causes include that it exists somewhere the linker can't find it or the linkers incremental stupidity counter has wrapped around its 16bit vlaue limit and you just need to give it a good kicking and make it try again. There are a number of open source applications in the list. You may want to pick up one, study how it is done and then start doing yours. But trust me, this would actually be more difficult than you think it could be. Good luck with the development.
