How to use the Crystal report's CssClass property.
I want to get effects from crystal report itself i.e from main report preview without using anything else like vb/vb.net/Asp.net etc..
It would be definitely a great help for me.

I am developing a windows application where I used lot of crystal reports.
Now I want to formet crystal reports using CssClass as crystal report object has a property named Cssclass.
I added a Css in my application and used the Css Class name in crystal report object's propertity.
But How I will get the effect of css class after running the Application that will display d crystal report?
In Asp.net we can use Link in Html Source Code.but in windows application how I could i get effect of Css class through
Crystal report??
Please let me know.

Hi all,
I've created dialog application with few controls in it and a tooltip has to be displayed for the controls when the mouse cursor rests on it.The tool tip will for few controls will change depending on the state of the application.To achieve this I subscribed for the popup event of the tooltip and called,
example:
SetToolTip(this.mybutton, amessage.ToString());
within the event handler.Whenever i click any of the controls the event is not getting generated and as a result I'm not able to set the tooltip correctly  . What could be the reason ?
Any help would be appreciated .

I don't recommend it. However, if and when I program for the full framework I'm sure it will feel terrifically liberating.

There is no "best" for all situations, you need to look at your own requirements.
I don't think there is much of a case for 1.0/1.1 any more, unless you absolutely must support an existing 1.0/1.1 app and upgrading isn't an option.
If you working for mobile devices, the compact framework is the only real choice.
If you have to support windows 2000, you can't use 3.0/3.5, so 2.0 is the one to go for.
If you don't have any restrictions, I can't think of any good reason not to go for 3.5.

No, you're wrong.
.NET 3.0 = .NET 2.0 + WPF + WCF + WF + Cardspace
then .NET 3.5 = .NET 3.0 + .NET 3.0 SP1 + LINQ

I'm afraid it's not exactly that way.
If you say, .NET 3.5 is a new update of .NET 3.0 because of LINQ, you're correct. But it's just LINQ and Addins (in System.Addin), and not anything else.
If you look at the documentation of .NET 3.5 class libraries, it's clearly stated that enhancements in many 3.0 pillars such as WPF, for example the included support of 2D on 3D, is available on .NET 3.0 SP1.
For a nice example, read this Viewport2DVisual3D documentation on online MSDN library:

It's clearly stated that it's supported on .NET 3.0 SP1 and 3.5. Which means, it's available since .NET 3.0 SP1.
The only new minor enhancements on WPF in .NET 3.5 are two: the XBAP support for Firefox and few localization languages. Nothing more.
It's true that this can cause confusions, since some classes on .NET 3.5 (not just WPF, some WCF and Workflow) are also available on .NET 3.0 SP1.
The original release .NET 3.0 SP1 can be downloaded separately. You can search it on Microsoft download page, enter ".NET 3.0 SP1" as keyword.
I hope this gives cleans explanations.

I thik that the best for Windows application is not using .NET. Because there is many companies that still using Win2k and don't using WUS or SUS. (I was working in company where 40% of employees using Office 97 and it's completely satisfy their needs)
For developers i think 3.5 will be better because there is many new encantments WPF,LINQ etc.
And who is you end users?

You can run .NET 2.0 on W2K.

.NET 2.0 is still the most popular one at this moment. It is hard to say which one is the best. It depends on what functionality you are targeting.

Infact 3.0 and 3.5 uses .net 2.0 CLR 
It is not about whihc is the best it is about which one full filed your needs with minimum of requirement on the server.

3.0 used the 2.0 CLR, 3 was just add-ons. 3.5 uses it's own CLR.

This is absolutely wrong.
.NET 3.5 is sitting on top of .NET 2.0, since it only adds LINQ and System.AddIn and it contains .NET 3.0 SP1, and .NET 3.0 SP1 has .NET 2.0, and the CLR of all of these 3 releases is simply CLR 2.0.

.Net Compact Framework comes in 1.0, 2.0 and 3.5 versions
So, assigning just one option is not fair. I think it shouldn't be included in the list and be evaluated in a separate survey.
