No. You need rights and a network share (even the C$ one will do).

what if a client program sends the file to a server program... then the server program will be able to save that file on a local unshared part of the drive... wont it?

Hi,
I hope it's ok to post here, I have been learning C# for a few months now and I'm confident with the basic concepts. It's just that when it comes to starting my own projects from scratch, I find it overwhelming. I think it's the relationships and flow of the projects that I find difficult.
I was wandering wether there is a project diagram that I could use, showing the relationship and flow of a simple project? I would appreciate any help-even if it's to tell me I'm looking at the problem wrong

This kind of this comes from experience of working on projects.
Best thing to do is get your self the source code for a medium sized open source project and read it. Once you understand it, contribute some bug fixes to get an idea of how it works. This will give you an understanding of the architecture. Do this for several different projects and gradually you will find you have a better idea of what types of architecture works where.
Patterns are quite popular, although I think sometimes they can be over used and abused, an understanding of common patterns can help. Maybe look for a good software patterns book. The Gamma et al[^] one is the one most people rave about. Haven't read it myself though.
Code Complete[^] also offers some good advice on the steps involved in a software project. This is a very good book and I definitely recommend it.
[Edit: I've just re-read your question, and realised you might be talking about the project itself rather than the architecture. If you mean you want to know about the requirements->design->implementation kind of flow then you need to read up about software engineering processes. Code Complete does cover this briefly too.]

Does someone know how to create an activeX control by its classId?
I wrote some code like this:

Type oType = Type.GetTypeFromCLSID(classid);

object obj = Activator.CreateInstance(oType);
} but it doesn't work, the obj can be created successful,but it is system.__ComObject,if I try to cast it to some activex,it throws an exception.

Try some of the other overloads of Activator.CreateInstance(). There are about 10 or more.

Hi,
I am having a problem with the Crystal Reports. I am passing the data to the report through a datatable. The problem is that the sql that i am using to fill the table is correct and the data is filled correctly in the datatable. But when comming to display the data in the crystal reports other data is shown in the report which is not present in the data table. I am creating a new report each time. Can someone help me with my problem please. I am passing all the tables needed to get the information for the sql filtering

You have to close the file first.

hi i am downloading a zip file.
i need to delete the download when user click close button while download is not completed.when user click the close button while download is not completed i handle the form closing event in which i check if the download is not completed i delete the directory in which the file is placed but when i compile the code i got Exception that:
"The process cannot access the file 'Update.zip' because it is being used by another process."
how i can end this process so that i delete the file easily

I think the so called process is you project itself, right?
You may check your code and call the method "Close" or "Flush" of a stream that accessing that file.
Maybe I need some of your oritinal code for more information.

Many overloads of System.Drawing.Graphics use Point array as a parameter. But I've found a puzzling problem with the Point array. The order in which the points are stored in the array creates different shape than intended. I used System.Drawing.Graphics.FillPolygon using four points and two different results came out depending on the order of points(http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/2944/boxch5.jpg[^]). Yes, i could have used the FillRectangle, but i will use figures with more than 4 sides.
I want to know if there is a way to arrange the points so that they have a counterclockwise or clockwise rotation.

The result is exactly as expected. The FillPolygon doesn't do any calculations to find out which points are nearest to each other, it just draws a polygon using the points in the exact order that you specified.

Where do you get the points from, and what's the reason that they are not in that order already?

Well if you look at my previous posts, you will get a basic idea of what im trying to do. I want to divide up an image using arbitrarily oriented lines, and use points of the polygons to edit the contents within that region. Basically, i use two points to create line segments, whose points will be added to Point arrays of that region. But then again, i as i create the line segments, i have no way to enforce which points to add first.
