i am using C# , asp.net2.0 ,ajax1.0
i have situation where a name is entered in text box. if that name is already exeist in database pop up the message that username already exist.
please suggest some idea or link to implement this

Hi
U can use java script's Alert function in source file
or as pavankumarchakilam suggested try this in ur codefile
Response.Write("<script>alert('Your are not logon.Please Login..')</script>")

I'm working on web application in VS 2005. I need to create well formatted
word document report(word file has tables).
How it should be done?
I simply dont know anything about creating and writing to word document thru c#/vb/ crystal report.

Hi,
i have 2 textboxes and one gridview on my webpage.i popup the
gridview using popupextender.my problem is,i want to get
the selected row values of gridview(which is popup) in to

Hi,
Im able to avoid flickering in internet explorer browser using below code
But this code is not working in NON-IE browsers. The page still flickers in NON IE browsers.
If you have any equivalent code for non-IE browsers, please write the code.

its a security exception. and a request failed...since we have no idea what your button click does i personally have no clue what exactly caused it, i would imagine some kind of permission problem with the iis user, mabye someone else is more clairvoyant(sp?) than i am.

I am using the following code.

but this navigates client to an another page
can i open the window in same page.

but this open the window ony on server

You can't do that. It depends on the client's settings. Giving "mailto" in links will open the default mail client on the client machine and not outlook express always.

I've a textbox in an User Control and i want to use the text or value of that Text Box in my web page without including that User Control in my web page

Do you really mean you don't want to use the user control? Or do you just mean you don't want the user control to be visible to the user?
If you want to transfer the value of a text box in the user control then you are going to need that user control. There is no getting around that. However, I suspect that all you really want is for the user control to be invisible. In which case you want to set its Visible property to false.
