hai friends

my project contains a word document , the text in it is same for all users ,only name of user and mail id will be varing
and i have to send this document to user mail id as an attachement file.

my problem is , i m able to write text to document file,but every time while writing text the document wii be opened i.e visible to user

it should not be happend..
my requirement is...
1)write text to word document but document should not be opend
2)and send it to user mail

plz solve this problem

Hi,
For writing the content to a document here is the code:

string sText = "Hello Code Project";
string sFile = @"D:\Content.txt";
FileStream theFile = File.Create(sFile);
StreamWriter writer = new StreamWriter(theFile);
writer.Write(sText);
writer.Close();
theFile.Close();

For sending that as attachment here is the code: This has only the email attachment code since you asked specifically.

MailMessage oMailMessage = new MailMessage();
string sAttachedFile = @"D:\Content.txt";
Attachment oAtt = new Attachment(sAttachedFile);
oMailMessage.Attachments.Add(oAtt);

when i m running my site from net i get this javascript error..."sys is undefined"....and my ajax functiolaity is not working....i have inclued my script manager within form tag....and same web.config as in C:\Program Files\Microsoft ASP.NET\ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX Extensions\v1.0.61025.....please help

make sure your web.config has this:

I am having the same issue. Someone said try adding EnableEventValidation="false" to your Page directive.
This did not help me but it may help you

thanx that issue is solved..but still my ajax functionality is not working..........page is reload again and again....when any event of gridview is called(actually i use ajax on my gridview)..like display the complete detail of user on modalpopupextender.....but when modal popup is displayed....the page is reloaded......so if u can help me...the please..........

I've got a query which works fine in query analzyer but when I put it into my c# it shows the above eror message
Can you not use the following in c# sql string?

Hi everyone,

I have two Ajax autoComplete textboxes.

One textbox is used to list out 'states'

Another one is used to list out the state related 'cities'.

When I select a particular state in the first autocomplete text box, the state related cities should be displayed in the second autocomplete textbox.

Please help me to make relation between two ajax auto complete textboxes.

I think you would be better using the cascading dropdown and populating the dropdowns depending on which state they choose

hi,
i have used gridview in asp.net 2005 wit c#.i need to update my datas.in tat i hv placed dropdownlist,checkbox controls.but its not updating the datas.when i edit the row,we have dropdownlist but not tat database value.so when i edit the row the database value should be in dropdown list.when i click update link i got this error.The GridView 'GridView1' fired event RowUpdating which wasn't handled.so pls help me to do this.

To implement paypal ipn you have to write you code on a aspx.vb page. while sending a request to paypal you can pass the page name under notify_url parameter. Paypal will call this page when he got a response about transaction. You can catch the response on that page if the response is verified the make your tasks.
For testing paypal ipn you have to upload your application on server and then you can test it.
Paypal ipn cannot run from local server.
