I think unless there is a reply to the OP that is explicitly marked as an "Answer", the question is not treated as answered.

The profile page of this guy[^] says that he has no posts although he has few, for instance look at his latest comments[^].
Mostly, when you see programmers, they aren't doing anything. One of the attractive things about programmers is that you cannot tell whether or not they are working simply by looking at them. Very often they're sitting there seemingly drinking coffee and gossiping, or just staring into space. What the programmer is trying to do is get a handle on all the individual and unrelated ideas that are scampering around in his head. (Charles M Strauss)

How about a CP Classifieds section where regulars can sell/give/donate their unwanted junk items to other regulars?
Legal issues notwithstanding (which can usually be sewn up with some legal "nothing to do with me" jiggery-pokery) I see two problems and solutions:
1) Spam - make it a Gold Member only privilege/service
2) People whinging about a bad deal - make it clear that these are private transactions as in the jiggery-pokery clauses

I believe I had given rise to a mis-comprehension. I used 'Not Necessary' to indicate 'Restricting Classified Services to Gold + alone is Not Necessary'. However, Gold + members can be rewarded with moderation privileges.
Would that be a 'Win-Win' offer for everyone?

Has someone observed this behavior? When you paste a lengthy URL in a message, the message just gets chopped. However, the hyperlink is active since it is part of HREF attribute.
I think, this is the side effect of CP stylesheets trying to address horizontal scrollbar effects in forums because of dumb users pasting bulk of code.
I would suggest to prevent this occasional chopping; in case of lengthy texts for a particular message, that particular message alone can have a overflow:scroll.
Wouldn't that be better?

For the first couple of days under his latest account, Heinze posted infrequently and was only a minor irritant. That is no longer true. Perhaps he has decided that he has slipped in unnoticed by the staff and can once again operate with impugnity.

I've been away for a while so this may have already been brought up, but I have a few issues with the new Good/Bad Question and Helpful/Unhelpful Answer buttons.
1. They are way too big, especially when compared with the rest of the site. This makes them look glaringly ugly and out-of-place. I'm guessing that this was done deliberately to make them stand out, but I think they stand out a little too much and too quickly draw attention to themselves rather than the message.
2. I like the idea behind them, but I don't see how this correlates to the message score. For example, one message I saw says "5.00/5 (1 vote)". Is this to mean that one person pushed the "Helpful Answer" button and that if that person had pushed the "Unhelpful Answer" it would have voted it a 1? If that's the case, then the only possible votes are 1 and 5. It might be more useful to change the vote "5.00/5 (1 vote)" score to show how many people found the answer helpful (or the question good) out of the total number of votes. For the example I'm using, this would read "1 person found this answer helpful (out of 1 vote)"...or something like that.
