Hi all,
I have two dropdownlists that filtered by book subject (dropdownlist1) and filtered by price(dropdownlist2).
now i want when i click a book subject for example electronic from dropdownlist1 my datalist shows all price,and then if user wants, select price range from dropdownlist2.
how can i do this?

Use filter on event SelectedIndex_Change of DropDownlist1, example:
PriceSqlDataSource.FilterExresion = "BookCategory=1" //instead this filter use your according filter

hello friends . i have developed a website and debployed it at server its working fine no problem ....previously it was showing error so i deleted this.........

hi all
How can I validate the Pages by using the base class, means... If Once I loged as an administrator then the page is 'admin.aspx', and after loging out if I loged as a user to page 'userpage.aspx' and in the address bar I enter the page as admin.aspx' instead of 'user.aspx' then browser is redirecting to admin page... I want to validate this to restrict access the admin page....
there I am using sessions for both pages from login pages seperately.
how can I check the credentials in page load pls help me
pls help me...... with the code

Hello Friend.
To solve this problem store userid in a cookie . each time u logon check with cookie value if it mismatch display a error message. i hope u got something.

I had tried it with session and cookie, but still page is displaying... If I click any link in that page then exception will occure, it is not entering into the page load event when I type the page name in the address bar...

Hi
you can create a security object table on your database that all pages names and their access permissions. Your security object table may be for example such this:
Id(int) URL(varchr(256)) GrantAdmin(bit) GrantUser(bit) GrantPublic(bit)
You shuld insert each page url and its permission into this table and in your base page (that each page inherit from it) on page load you had to get page url and then get its permission from data base and then check user type with page permission.

Hello all
I have written a javascript function. I want to call this function in my aspx.vb page when certain condition is true. I am displaying a confirm box using javascript and i want to call this function if size of my array is greater that 3 else not how can i call this function.

check the condition in the java script function...if it fails dont execute else execute the function(inner statements )

In my Microsoft Visual Studio, the default for the position mode is Absolutely position which drives me crazy who can I change this default to another one which is <not set="">.
Note:
The position mode is inside the position and the position is inside the Style.

you can make a page as a popup.
use ajax controls lib.
fire up the page as a popup.
after all it'll not be as a popup but it'll do...

but when i try to fetch records from remote sql server using those detail in connection string, i am getting this error
An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server.
