There is this line of code called several lines above:
if ( WinHttpWriteData( hRequest, (void*)m_strXMLMessage.GetBuffer(0), m_strXMLMessage.GetLength (), &dwBytesWritten) )

and no corresponding ReleaseBuffer.

Looking into that...


man, I'm getting cross-eyed. that was m_strXMLMessage and not m_strResponse, which doesn't have a GetBuffer call. D'Oh! | :doh:
