This questions is really just out of curiosity. I have an application I'm playing around with at home. Here's how it works. There's a web service that that calls a store procedure on an SQL Server 05 database. There is also a web form with some javascript with the purpose of creating an outlook activex object and creates an new contact.

You have to use the Telephone API of windows (TAPI 3.0 is current I thought).
You have to control your modem to be able to send SMS !

I have a website made in VWD, there are no dlls for it
it used to run on citrix fine
now ive moved it to web server it doesnt
I have a cs file called common methods which is in app_code folder
i have a file called login.aspx.cs which references this file
e.g.
Common_methods.SetFocus(Login1.FindControl("UserName"), this);
this worked fine in citrix
not in web server

The best maximum thing that you can do is to embed the MP3 using EMBED tag and it is upto the web browser to choose the available Media Player to play it.

Hi, I'm looking into WebParts and its authorization. You can set the AuthorizationFilter and use the OnAuthorizeWebPart event of the WebPartManager to check if the user has permissions to see the WebPart.
I understand that this event is called every time the Manager adds a WebPart to the page. Unfortunatly I cannot make it work. I always see all WebParts and when placing a break point, the event is not even triggered. And I am not able to find good articles that handle this subject in detail (preferable with some example code).
Can anybody here help me out understanding the WebPart Authorization? Maybe some links to good articles that explain the subject in detail? I am currently playing around with it to see if everything we need is provided or possible. And this is a very important requirement

i am using seekafile application to search the documents,rtf files.
here it is not searched with stop words in the seekafile.
How we enable the stop words to search and how SEEKAFILE.SERVER get body from the document.how it parses the data into multiple words/keywords.
i am facing difficulty with this problem from long time.please help me to solve this problem.

hi
I'm not very familiar with asp.net but want to know how I can add an events calendar to a website.
I would require a backend area to programme cinema screenings and general events, as you can imagine there would be re-occuring dates for certain screenings and also exclusions on certain dates.
On the frontend I would like to have several display options available to the user i.e whats on today, whats on this week and a archive section.
I don't want a calendar display, I know there is a calendar control available, would this work somehow or is there better ways to do this?

Hi all Is there a way to open a popup window with no title bar. I want to disable or delete maximize minimize and close(x) buttons from the upper right corner of a browser.
I have used javascript window.open and specified titlebar=0 and didnt work.There ia another approach where u specify fullscreen=1 and it works but than the popup window opens fullscreen and i can not open another popup window from the previous page.
Any ideas
