Hi,

Paging in Grid View is very simple just follow 4 steps:

1> Take the columns in grid and set the column's Data field of column of your Dataset(means if you have dataset column name empid then set the columnl's datafield empid of grid view

2> Set the paging of grid view =True
3>Set the page size=10 (suppose)
4>In the event of grid view write this

  Protected Sub GridView1_PageIndexChanging(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridViewPageEventArgs) Handles GridView1.PageIndexChanging<br />
         GridView1.PageIndex = e.NewPageIndex<br />
         add_record()<br />
    End Sub<br />

Here add_record() is a procedure which bind the grid view to dataset
(Remember use
Gridview.Datasource=mydataset
Gridview.Databind

They are did read only operation,
i need to take back up cop operation,
Onca again tell u, i want all my mails in my system same time all those want in my id too,
like i have to take all my mails in carbon copy to my system

You can communicate to the mail server using POP3 protocol. Check articles explaining the implementation of POP3 in .NET. I think yahoo won't allow free POP3 access.

hi everybody,
i am new to asp.net. I wanna hav a flex grid that resembles a table where the user can enter the data. i wrote the following code

m printing a table with textboxes embedded in it.. but m not able to access the text box declared using

dim i, j as integer
dim str as string
sub page_Load

for i=0 to 5
response.write("<tr>")
for j=0 to 5
response.write("<td><input type="text" name="txt"" &="" csng(i)="" csng(j)=""></input></td>")

The code is getting compiled without any error but the str1's value is null.. what do i do? i wanna create a flexgrid..

Oh dear... I don't think you've got much idea of what .NET is all about, have you? If you haven't got it already, I suggest you download either Webmatrix or Web Developer 2005 Express Edition (both are free) from here[^] and, if you can't get hold of a good book do some online research[^] and start from the beginning....

It's not possible in ASP.NET as it runs on server and pop-up blockers are installed on clients browser

Nope. It violates security. Use javascript to open new windows. If you try to open a new window by registering a client script block or writing script to response, you will be blocked by blocker. I think JS window.open will work fine.

I am using JS window.open to call my aspx page as popup.For that page also getting blocked.

This looks fine. Try removing that focus. Is that really needed ? Also make sure you are not setting this JS method from code behind.

I removed focus.And js is not in my code behind.i am using that function in aspx page only.then i am calling that function in the onclientclick event of button.
Still its not working.

I have a suggestion.It is better to use modal dialog instead of open.

ie,

window.showModalDialog(pageLink,null,'dialogWidth:850px;dialogHeight:650px;dialogHide:true;help:no;scroll:no;resizable:no;status:no;edge:sunken');
