Hi
try to accomodate your page at any resolution, this is the best way to persent your pages,
if you have any complicated design,
use screen.availHeight, screen.availWidth,
best way to keep the resolution in the server side,
in the login screen, send this height and width as comma separated values by hidden control.
once you authenticated the page, you will keep some user information in the session,
same time keep this height and width in your session,
Note: if the user resize the screen, server side values can't updated.

So it turns out my host does not allow services to be installed on a shared hosting package. This doesn't surprise me so much, but I was hoping someone may have run into this problem before and come up with a solution that allows occasional tasks to be executed on a shared host.
One idea that popped into my head was, rather than write a Windows service to do the timer, implement it using Amazon EC2. Unfortunately I know next to nothing about EC2 or even how it works (is it a virtual machine, does it have its own language?). If has any experience with this could you give me some idea of how complicated this would be, and how much the monthly charges would amount to if all it was doing was calling a web service method asynchronously every hour or so.

in datalist control we can design a template for it. such as follow:

hi evrybody i am looking for solution to this
1.i have form in which there is 3 fields
textbox=>school
textbox=>Major
dropdownlist=>Degree
2. i want to place button (Add Education) which will add another set of same controls with diffrent ids
3. and i want to place button (Delete Education) which will delete the last added conrol set by (Add Education)
i know i have tried by javascript by copying from site i was inspired by desighn of this kind of user control but
i ended up in tears because id generated by javascript was like ****ucResDesiredPos:Relocation~RelocationStateProvince~0~0*** which is not allowed by asp.net contorls
please help me with clear solution because i am new to asp.net it works fine by javascript and normal html contol but not with asp.net conrols...will it be possible by multi view

You may want to use DataGrid for that. Add the textboxes and dropdownlist in Datagrid and you can use Gird footer for adding new records. It would be more easier for you.

i have a problem with ProfileBindings and extenders in AJAX and ASP.NET 3.5,
i put a profile property in the web.config file and i set it in a webform CORRECTLY, in another webform i tried to bind this profile property with the ENABLED property of a DropShadowExtender like this:

Please help me in this regard.

When i click on print button of crystal report tool bar, it reloads the report and after click on OK button of Print dialog box it again take time as much as on report loading.
My main question is that, is there any another way to print report without reloading once it loaded.

Hi, I have designed a site using vs2008 and .net framework 3.5. Everything works perfectly in our development environment.
However when we upload all files to Production Server, we recieve the following error when browsing to the website "asp.net client side framework failed to load".
We have also copied all the code across and receive the same error so it is not a deployment issue it has something to do with the box. Are there any special Security settings that we may have missed? The box still runs the 2.0 version of the site fine. We are using IIS6 and we have installed the 3.5 framework on this box.
Note: In Production server does not have vs2008 but have .net framework 2.5 & AJAX framework 3.5
Any suggestions would be appreciated

I use a gridview to display a list of records. Each record has a "View" button attached to it, which you can click and view the details of
the particular record. In the "View" page there is a "back" button which you click to take you to the Gridview displaying the list.
The problem I have is when I go to say page 2 on the Gridview and then I click to "View" a record, when I click the back button it will always
return me to page 1 of the Gridview and never to the page I had just been on.
Here is the code in the back button:
