Problem with using SENS and the COM Event System in VC++

How did you include you header (.h) file inside the source (.cpp) one?
Should be via

#include "Centroids.h"

Did you put the header file inside the project source folder?
Did you add the header file to the project?

yes, i added the #include "Centroids.h" in cpp file, the Centroids.h is a class in header file...

i combined together header file and cpp file, it can compile smoothly, after i seperated, output showed me:

fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'Centroids.h': No such file or directory

i dun know how to set this include path.

Are the two files inside the same folder? If they are not then you must provide a path:

#include "..\..\Centroids.h".

Hi All,,

I want little much help from the masters.Let me explain my problem in full description.

I want to make service in that I want to catch the events of Logon and Logoff.So, I decided to use
SENS and the COM Event System to use ISensLogon interface.

But My problem is that I have created simple Empty project from VC++ in that I have created service(including .cpp file).And this service runs fine.But now in this project how can I use these SENS and COM Event System. D'Oh! | :doh:

I got little much knowledge from the online help that to use event system I have to include EventSys.h and for SENS I have to include Sensevts.h.And also how to access ISensLogon's methods GUIDs in my project.

Can Anyone atleast guide me how to include these things in my project??

Your answer will be greatly appreciated.

Have you seen this article. It's about ISensNetwork, but the steps are identical.

I have seen this article before posting this thread but as explained in this article it is about ATL COM Application and also in that they have used ATL Simple Object and also Implement Interface.

I tried to include ATL Object in my project but it does allow ATL support to my Application because my application in simple Empty project( I hope ATL object Allows only to MFC PRoject And full ATL support project).SO, now how can I use this Interface into my project. D'Oh! | :doh:

Is there any other alternative to use SENS And Event System??

In my VC 6.0 application , i get local host name , but can't get local ip address. Give me suggestion or code to get local ip address .Below given the code that retrieve the host name.

After calling gethostname(), call gethostbyname() to get the IP address.

I've found out that it seems one cannot replace or upgrade the dbghelp.dll that comes installed with the system. If anyone knows otherwise, please let me know!

I am attempting to find how many rows of text will print per page from a rich edit control in a dialog box. Is there a method for finding the actual height of a text line? Neither the LOGFONT nor the CHARFORMAT nor the TEXTMETRIC structures provide this info accurately.

Since rich edit text can have different formatting, the number of
lines per page can vary.

The only reliable way I know is to format the text for the device it
will be printed on, then calculate how many rows.

With a combination of some of the code here[^] and the EM_EXLINEFROMCHAR
message, you should be able to calculate the number of lines per page.

A moved rectangle how does secure to the const size of itself. Forexample CRect(10,10); It must secure to these sizes when it go move forward. Please help with MFC.
